Bemidji Man Charged Over Alleged Death Threats<\/h2>\n

Bemidji<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Chase Michael Oothoudt, 29, faces a felony charge following alleged threats against a woman and her fianc\u00e9.<\/p>\n

A criminal complaint was filed on June 9 in Beltrami County District Court. It says the reported threats occurred on June 7, 2026.<\/p>\n

Court documents allege Oothoudt sent several threatening text messages that evening. The messages reportedly followed a dispute involving his child.<\/p>\n

One message allegedly warned the woman that her fianc\u00e9 would be harmed. Investigators also obtained a Snapchat video connected to the case.<\/p>\n

Charge Carries Possible Prison Term<\/h2>\n

Oothoudt is charged with one felony count involving threats and reckless disregard. The charge carries a possible five-year prison sentence.<\/p>\n
