Cass Lake Man Charged After Trespass Call<\/h2>\n

Cass Lake<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me)<\/a> \u2014 A Cass Lake man is facing new charges after a reported trespass incident in Cass County.<\/p>\n

Anthony Tyrone Casey, 25, has been charged in Cass County District Court. The charges include gross misdemeanor trespass and misdemeanor obstruction of legal process.<\/p>\n

The case was filed under court file number 11-CR-26-779. The complaint lists the offense date as June 4, 2026.<\/p>\n

Complaint Details<\/h2>\n

According to the criminal complaint, law enforcement responded at about 2:01 a.m. to 6057 162nd Street NW in Cass Lake.<\/p>\n

A caller reported that Casey was refusing to leave the property. The complaint states he had been told he was not welcome.<\/p>\n

The complaint also alleges that Casey started brush on fire in the yard. A person at the scene was seen putting out a small fire.<\/p>\n

Authorities said Casey was described as wearing all black clothing and a face mask. Officers did not find him during the first response.<\/p>\n

Second Call To Property<\/h2>\n

The complaint states the caller contacted authorities again at about 3:35 a.m.<\/p>\n

The caller reported that Casey had returned to the property. Officers then went back to the home.<\/p>\n

Authorities said Casey was seen in the driveway. Officers told him they needed to speak with him.<\/p>\n

The complaint alleges Casey walked away and ignored commands. He then went behind the home toward Waboose Trail.<\/p>\n

Officers caught up to Casey and placed him under arrest.<\/p>\n

Charges And Prior Cases<\/h2>\n

Casey is charged with returning to property within one year after being told not to return. That charge is listed as a gross misdemeanor.<\/p>\n

Under Minnesota Statute 609.605<\/a>, the charge carries a maximum sentence of 364 days in jail and a $3,000 fine.<\/p>\n

Casey is also charged with obstructing legal process. That charge is listed under Minnesota Statute 609.50<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The obstruction charge carries a maximum sentence of 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.<\/p>\n
