It also carries a $250,000 fine, or both.

Controlled Buy Described In Complaint

Investigators said a confidential informant reported contact with Jenson on March 4, 2026.

The informant said Jenson claimed he had a source for methamphetamine.

The complaint says the informant arranged to buy one “8-ball” of methamphetamine for $250.

An “8-ball” is commonly used to describe about 3.5 grams of methamphetamine.

The next day, the informant went to Jenson’s apartment on North Main Street in Crookston.

Investigators said the informant was given recorded buy money before the meeting.

The complaint says Jenson and Christopher George Rick were both inside the apartment.

<img decoding="async" class="aligncenter" style="max-width: 100%; height: auto; border-radius: 6px;" Jenson

The informant later told investigators that Jenson held up a baggie containing suspected methamphetamine.

According to the complaint, Jenson then handed the baggie to Rick.

Rick allegedly handed the baggie to the informant and accepted the $250.

The substance later tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the complaint.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Forensic Science Laboratory reported 3.537 grams of methamphetamine.

Later Stop Leads To More Evidence

The complaint also describes a March 24 traffic stop involving Rick near Crookston.

Investigators said Rick was driving a tan Chevrolet Silverado with North Dakota plates.

During the stop, Rick allegedly admitted he did not have a valid driver’s license.

Authorities said items with suspected drug residue were found in the truck.

Investigators later searched a motel room connected to Rick at the Golf Terrace Motel.

The complaint says officers found a water bong, a meth pipe, baggies, and a scale with residue.

Rick later allegedly told investigators he had sold methamphetamine to others.

He also allegedly said he had bought methamphetamine from Jenson several times.

Investigators also reviewed Facebook messages between Jenson and Rick.

The messages allegedly discussed a “ball” of methamphetamine and a $250 price.

Case Remains Pending

Jenson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

The charge is filed under Minnesota Statute
