Wabasha County Crash Injures Two Drivers on US Hwy 61<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Wabasha County (trfnews.i234.me)<\/strong> \u2013 A crash involving two vehicles occurred on December 7, 2025, on southbound US Hwy 61 just south of MN Hwy 42. The incident took place around 8:22 a.m. in Greenfield Township, Wabasha County.<\/p>\n

The crash involved a 1996 GMC Suburban and a 2017 Subaru Outback, both traveling southbound on US Hwy 61 in the J-turn lane to turn northbound. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the vehicles collided in icy, snow-covered conditions.<\/p>\n

Benjamin David Timmerman, a 26-year-old male from Rochester, MN, was driving the GMC Suburban. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Wabasha Hospital. Timmerman was wearing his seatbelt, and the vehicle’s airbags did not deploy. Alcohol was not involved in the crash.<\/p>\n

Laura Ann Lenz, a 56-year-old female from Rochester, MN, was driving the Subaru Outback. She also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Wabasha Hospital. Lenz was wearing her seatbelt, and her airbags did not deploy. No alcohol was involved.<\/p>\n

Additionally, 56-year-old male passenger Todd David Rowekamp, also from Rochester, was in the Subaru Outback. He was uninjured in the crash and was wearing his seatbelt.<\/p>\n

The Wabasha Police Department, Kellogg Fire Department, and Wabasha Ambulance assisted at the scene.<\/p>\n
