Early Morning Traffic Stop<\/h2>\n
According to court records, the case began shortly after 2 a.m. on July 1, 2025.<\/p>\n
A Becker County deputy was driving west on 370th Street.<\/p>\n
The deputy saw a vehicle ahead fishtailing across the road.<\/p>\n
The vehicle was stopped near the intersection with County Road 34.<\/p>\n
A male passenger got out and raised his hands.<\/p>\n
Investigators say Hanks was driving and then sped away.<\/p>\n
The complaint says the vehicle reached speeds above 100 miles per hour.<\/p>\n
Authorities said the vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane during the pursuit.<\/p>\n After a lengthy chase, the deputy used a PIT maneuver.<\/p>\n The move forced the fleeing vehicle to stop on County Road 37.<\/p>\n The vehicle went into a ditch after the maneuver.<\/p>\n Court records say Hanks and a female passenger then ran into the woods.<\/p>\n A K9 unit later found Hanks.<\/p>\n The female passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant.<\/p>\n Hanks was also arrested and searched.<\/p>\n Court documents say about 3.2 grams of meth were found in his pocket.<\/p>\n The drugs were found with packaging, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n Hanks was taken to the emergency room for medical clearance.<\/p>\n He agreed to provide a urine sample.<\/p>\n The sample was sent to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension<\/a> for testing.<\/p>\n A deputy later found equipment inside Hank\u2019s vehicle.<\/p>\n The complaint says the equipment was broadcasting police radio transmissions.<\/p>\n On April 24, Judge Gretchen Thilmony sentenced Hanks to 17 months in state prison.<\/p>\n He will serve the sentence at the Minnesota Correctional Facility-St. Cloud<\/a>.<\/p>\n Hanks received credit for 214 days already served.<\/p>\n He was also ordered to pay $3,649 in restitution.<\/p>\n The sentence includes a $50 fine and $160 in court fees.<\/p>\n The payments will be taken from his prison earnings.<\/p>\n More Minnesota court information is available through the Minnesota Judicial Branch<\/a>.<\/p>\n![\"Camarin](\"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/HANKS-CAMARIN-GEORGE.jpg\")
