Blackduck Man Charged In Canceled License Case<\/h2>\n

Blackduck<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Blackduck man is facing a gross misdemeanor charge after authorities say he drove with canceled driving privileges.<\/p>\n

Jess Michael Supan, 45, of Blackduck, is charged in Beltrami County District Court with driving after cancellation. The complaint says his license was canceled as inimical to public safety.<\/p>\n

The charge was filed under Minnesota Statute 171.24<\/a>. A conviction could carry up to 364 days in jail. It could also carry a $3,000 fine, or both.<\/p>\n

Complaint Details<\/h2>\n

According to the criminal complaint, the incident happened on May 28, 2026, at about 8:46 p.m. in Blackduck.<\/p>\n

A Beltrami County deputy reported seeing a gold Jeep Cherokee leave the Timberline Convenience Store. The vehicle was heading onto Summit Avenue West near Highway 71.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the deputy recognized the driver as Supan. Authorities said they already knew his driving privileges were canceled.<\/p>\n

Investigators later confirmed Supan\u2019s driving status. The complaint also says authorities found two outstanding warrants.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the deputy checked the vehicle\u2019s plate. Authorities said the registered owner shared an address with Supan.<\/p>\n

The Jeep was later found in a driveway near 89 2nd Street Southeast. Supan was seen standing outside the vehicle, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Authorities said Supan was told about the warrants. He was also told he was not supposed to be driving.<\/p>\n

Warrant Hold Reported<\/h2>\n

The complaint says one warrant was from Crow Wing County. Another warrant was from St. Louis County.<\/p>\n

Authorities said Crow Wing County did not request a hold. St. Louis County requested a hold on its warrant.<\/p>\n

Court records listed in the complaint also note prior convictions. They include DWI, driving after cancellation, dishonored checks, and drug possession cases.<\/p>\n

The case is filed in Beltrami County District Court<\/a>. Public case information may also be available through Minnesota Court Records Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A criminal complaint is not a conviction. Supan is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
