She is also charged with failure to notify the owner of damaged property after a traffic collision.

The charges stem from an incident reported on May 27, 2026, in Crookston. Court documents say police were called to 534 Ash Street at about 7:10 p.m. The report said a dune buggy with three females had struck a garage and left the area.

Officers later found a black and orange Polaris General near East Third Street. The vehicle matched the description from the report.

Complaint Details

According to the complaint, Jeremy Calrson told officers he owned the 2017 Polaris General. He said he had allowed three young women to drive it. Another person at the scene identified one of the women as Bree Olson.

Court documents say Olson later spoke with police. Officers reported signs of impairment, including slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, watery eyes, and an odor of alcohol.

Olson allegedly gave different times for when she last drove the Polaris. She also reportedly said the vehicle was driving strangely. The complaint says she admitted to drinking a few beers but denied crashing the Polaris.

Bree Lynn Olson

Test Results Listed In Court File

Another woman, Abigail Schroht, also spoke with officers, according to the complaint. She stated she was seated in the front passenger seat. She also said a third person had been in the vehicle.

The complaint says Olson agreed to field sobriety testing. Officers reported several signs of impairment during those tests.

A roadside breath test later showed a blood alcohol concentration of .24 at 8:01 p.m. Olson was arrested and taken to the Northwest Regional Corrections Center.

At the jail, Olson submitted to a DMT breath test. Court records say that the test showed a blood alcohol concentration of .20 at 8:42 p.m.

The complaint also states Olson had a prior qualified impaired driving incident from 2024. The second-degree DWI charge is listed as a gross misdemeanor under Minnesota Statute 169A.20 and Minnesota Statute 169A.25.

Property Damage Alleged

Investigators also spoke with the initial reporting party. Court documents say tracks showed the vehicle skidded on gravel and was traveling too fast for a turn.

The tracks reportedly led to a damaged power pole. They then showed a sharp turn before the vehicle appeared to scuff a garage at 534 South Ash Street.

The failure-to-notify charge is listed under Minnesota Statute 169.09.

The charges are accusations. Olson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

I’m Chris Harper reporting for TRF News.

Crookston woman faces DWI and crash charges after a Polaris allegedly struck property on Ash Street, according to Polk County court records.

[12
346,770,998,772,892,18366,620
post-31249","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-crime","tag-after","tag-charged","tag-crash","tag-crime","tag-crookston","tag-polaris","tag-woman","entry
["GET
