{"id":31148,"date":"2026-06-03T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-03T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\/wordpress\/?p=31148"},"modified":"2026-05-31T10:11:19","modified_gmt":"2026-05-31T15:11:19","slug":"mahnomen-traffic-stop-leads-to-meth-charge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\/wordpress\/mahnomen-traffic-stop-leads-to-meth-charge\/","title":{"rendered":"Mahnomen Traffic Stop Leads To Meth Charge"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<h2>Mahnomen Traffic Stop Leads To Meth Charge<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Mahnomen County<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Fosston man is facing a first-degree drug charge after a traffic stop in Mahnomen County.<\/p>\n<p>Wayne Bradley Schindler, 59, of Fosston, is charged in Mahnomen County District Court.<\/p>\n<p>The charge is first-degree drug possession involving 50 grams or more of cocaine or methamphetamine.<\/p>\n<p>The case was filed under court file number 44-CR-26-282.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged offense happened on or about May 18, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>According to the criminal complaint, a deputy stopped a red Jeep on U.S. Highway 59.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says radar showed the Jeep traveling 72 mph in a 60 mph zone.<\/p>\n<h2>Deputy Reports Finding Light Bulb<\/h2>\n<p>Court documents say the vehicle was slow to stop.<\/p>\n<p>Schindler identified himself as the driver, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n<p>The deputy reported seeing signs of nervous behavior during the stop.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says a light bulb was visible between Schindler\u2019s legs.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities alleged the item appeared altered and showed burn marks.<\/p>\n<p>Schindler allegedly gave different explanations for the light bulb.<\/p>\n<p>When asked to exit the vehicle, the light bulb fell to the floor.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says Schindler then tried to step on it.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;
