White Earth Woman Charged In Becker County DWI<\/h2>\n

Becker County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) – A White Earth woman has been charged with gross misdemeanor DWI in Becker County District Court.<\/p>\n

Melena Pearl Folstrom, 45, of White Earth, is charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The case was filed in Minnesota\u2019s Seventh Judicial District.<\/p>\n

The charge stems from an incident reported on or about May 12, 2026, in Becker County. Court records list the case number as 03-CR-26-955.<\/p>\n

Court Complaint Details<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, law enforcement was serving a search warrant at a Becker County residence. During that operation, a vehicle reportedly arrived at the location.<\/p>\n

The complaint states Folstrom was the only person in the vehicle. She then walked toward law enforcement officers at the scene.<\/p>\n

Officers reported signs of possible alcohol use during the contact. The complaint says they smelled alcohol and noted bloodshot, watery eyes.<\/p>\n

The complaint states the preliminary breath test showed a blood alcohol concentration of .12.<\/p>\n

Folstrom was arrested and taken to jail. She was then read the Breath Test Advisory, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Court records say she was given time to contact an attorney. The complaint states she agreed to take a DMT breath test.<\/p>\n

That test reportedly showed a blood alcohol concentration of .13.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors also cited one aggravating factor in the case. The complaint states Folstrom had a prior DWI conviction in South Dakota in 2021.<\/p>\n

The charge is listed under Minnesota Statute 169A.20<\/a>, with reference to Minnesota Statute 169A.26<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The maximum sentence listed in the complaint is 364 days in jail, a $3,000 fine, or both.<\/p>\n
