Bowbells Fatal Train Crash Kills Kenmare Driver<\/h2>\n

Burke County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A 72-year-old Kenmare man died Thursday after a dump truck was struck by a train in rural Bowbells.<\/p>\n

The crash happened May 28, 2026, at about 4:21 p.m.<\/p>\n

According to the North Dakota State Highway Patrol<\/a>, the crash happened near 93rd Street Northwest and 69th Avenue Northwest.<\/p>\n

The location is in rural Bowbells, in Burke County.<\/p>\n

Dump Truck Hit While Crossing Tracks<\/h2>\n

Authorities said a 1978 Ford dump truck was traveling east on 93rd Street Northwest.<\/p>\n

The truck then crossed railroad tracks near 69th Avenue Northwest.<\/p>\n

An incoming BNSF Railway<\/a> train was approaching the crossing at the same time.<\/p>\n

The train struck the dump truck in a T-bone crash.<\/p>\n

The driver of the dump truck died from injuries suffered in the crash.<\/p>\n

Officials said the driver was wearing a seat belt.<\/p>\n
