Crookston Man Charged In Walmart Theft Case<\/h2>\n

According to a complaint filed in Polk County District Court, Isaac Manuel Lopez, 42, of Crookston, is charged with gross misdemeanor theft.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the alleged thefts happened between November 21 and November 26, 2025.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, Walmart Asset Protection reported an attempted theft on November 24, 2025.<\/p>\n

The report involved an incident that allegedly happened on November 21, 2025.<\/p>\n

Investigators say a man left the Crookston Walmart without paying for $576.86 in merchandise.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the man passed all points of sale before being stopped by Asset Protection.<\/p>\n

The items were recovered, according to court documents.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the man did not provide his name at that time.<\/p>\n

Second Reported Incident<\/h2>\n

On November 26, 2025, Walmart Asset Protection contacted police again.<\/p>\n

Asset Protection reported that the same man had just left the store after another alleged theft.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the man left with $473.09 in merchandise.<\/p>\n

Authorities say he passed all points of sale and exited the store.<\/p>\n

Police later learned that a person matching the description was taken from Walmart to the Crookston Public Library.<\/p>\n

An officer located the person at the library.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, he was identified by a Minnesota identification card as Isaac Manuel Lopez.<\/p>\n

Authorities say merchandise from Walmart was found outside the library.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Lopez later admitted to both reported incidents.<\/p>\n

All merchandise was recovered and returned to Walmart, according to court documents.<\/p>\n

Lopez is charged under the Minnesota theft law.<\/p>\n
