Roseau County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 An 82-year-old Baudette woman died Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 11 in Roseau County.<\/p>\n

The crash was reported at 3:28 p.m. on May 29, 2026, in Spruce Township.<\/p>\n

According to crash information, a 2000 Ford F250 was eastbound on Highway 11. It collided with a westbound 2013 Kia Sorento near the reported crash area.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota State Patrol listed the crash as fatal. The report said road conditions were dry at the time.<\/p>\n

Victim Identified In Fatal Crash<\/h2>\n

The driver of the Kia was identified as Barbara Lee Welberg, 82, of Baudette, Minnesota.<\/p>\n

Welberg suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Authorities said she was wearing a seat belt.<\/p>\n

Airbags deployed in the Kia. Alcohol was not listed as suspected in the crash report.<\/p>\n

Second Driver Taken To Hospital<\/h2>\n

The Ford driver was identified as Shauna Rae Dokken, 43, of Roseau, Minnesota.<\/p>\n

Dokken suffered non-life-threatening injuries. She was taken to LifeCare Medical Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Airbags were also deployed in the Ford. The crash report listed Dokken\u2019s seat belt use as unknown.<\/p>\n

Alcohol was not listed as suspected for either driver.<\/p>\n

Agencies Responded To The Scene<\/h2>\n

Several agencies assisted at the crash scene.<\/p>\n

They included the Roseau County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Roseau Police Department, Roseau Fire, and Roseau EMS.<\/p>\n

Drivers can check current highway conditions through Minnesota 511<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Additional crash information is available through the Minnesota State Patrol crash report system<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The case number is ICR 26320852.<\/p>\n

Authorities said the information was believed to be complete. The report was last updated at 6:36 p.m. on May 29, 2026.<\/p>\n
