Minneapolis Man Sentenced In Becker Drug Case<\/h2>\n
Becker County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Minneapolis man has been sentenced in Becker County District Court after a felony drug case tied to a Highway 59 traffic stop.<\/p>\n

Joseph Henry Sydloski, 32, of Minneapolis, was sentenced for felony fifth-degree drug possession, according to court records.<\/p>\n

The case began on Oct. 3, 2025. A Becker County deputy was on patrol on Highway 59. Court records say the deputy saw a black Ford pickup traveling northbound. The pickup had expired registration.<\/p>\n

The deputy turned around and later found the pickup parked near U-Motors. The deputy stopped behind the vehicle and went to the driver\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

Sydloski was identified as the driver, according to court records. The records say he appeared to be hiding something in his lap.<\/p>\n

Court Records Say Powder Tested Positive<\/h2>\n

Authorities reported finding a white powdery substance with a debit card on top. The powder appeared to weigh more than one gram.<\/p>\n

According to court records, the substance field-tested positive for cocaine. Minnesota law covers fifth-degree controlled substance crimes under Minnesota Statute 152.025<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On May 5, District Judge Michael Fritz issued a stay of adjudication. Under that order, the case may be dismissed if Sydloski completes probation.<\/p>\n

Sydloski was ordered to serve 20 days in jail. He received credit for four days already served.<\/p>\n

The remaining time may be served on electronic home monitoring. Court records say Sydloski must pay that cost himself.<\/p>\n

Probation Ordered For Five Years<\/h2>\n

The court also ordered Sydloski not to drink alcohol or use drugs. He must complete a comprehensive assessment.<\/p>\n

He must follow all recommendations from that assessment. Those recommendations include aftercare if ordered.<\/p>\n

Sydloski must also complete cognitive skill training. He must follow cognitive behavioral programming as directed.<\/p>\n

He was placed on supervised probation for five years.<\/p>\n
