target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Julie Ann Blood, 31, of Sartell, Minnesota, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court.<\/p>\n<p>Blood was sentenced for a gross misdemeanor, giving a peace officer a false name of another person.<\/p>\n<p>The case followed a stolen vehicle stop on Highway 59 near Callaway.<\/p>\n<p>A felony charge of receiving stolen property was dismissed under a plea agreement.<\/p>\n<p>A misdemeanor charge of driving after cancellation was also dismissed.<\/p>\n<h2>Stolen Vehicle Alert On Highway 59<\/h2>\n<p>According to court records, the case began on Dec. 24, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Law enforcement received an alert about a stolen vehicle on Highway 59 in Detroit Lakes.<\/p>\n<p>The alert came from Flock cameras used by the Detroit Lakes Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>The cameras are part of an automatic license plate reader system.<\/p>\n<p>Police use the system for crime prevention and investigations.<\/p>\n<p>More information about was listed as a silver 2019 Buick Envision.<\/p>\n<p>Court records say the Buick had been stolen in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n<p>A Becker County deputy and other officers responded to the mugshot\" \/><figcaption>Julie Ann Blood<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>False Name Given During Stop<\/h2>\n<p>Court records say Blood was driving the Buick when it was stopped.<\/p>\n<p>She first gave officers a family member\u2019s name.<\/p>\n<p>She also gave an incorrect date of birth.<\/p>\n<p>Officers later identified the driver as Julie Ann Blood.<\/p>\n<p>Blood told a deputy that a friend known as \u201cKangaroo\u201d gave her the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>She said she had met him about a week and a half earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Blood said he asked her to hold the car for a few days.<\/p>\n<p>She also said he texted her to pick him up in Mahnomen.<\/p>\n<p>She said the pickup location was at the casino.<\/p>\n<p>Blood told officers she then assumed the Buick was stolen.<\/p>\n<p>That information was later confirmed by law enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>She did not provide officers with \u201cKangaroo\u2019s\u201d real name.<\/p>\n<h2>Sentence In Becker County Court<\/h2>\n<p>Officers also confirmed Blood\u2019s driving privileges were canceled.<\/p>\n<p>They also found she had multiple warrants for her arrest.<\/p>\n<p>The case was handled in <a href=\"https:\/\/mncourts.gov\/find-courts\/becker\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Becker County District Court<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On April 10, District Judge Gretchen Thilmony sentenced Blood to 90 days in jail.<\/p>\n<p>That jail time was stayed for two years.<\/p>\n<p>Blood was also fined $500.<\/p>\n<p>She must pay another $160 in court fees.<\/p>\n<p>She was placed on unsupervised probation
