Frazee Man Charged In $912 Debit Card Fraud<\/h2>\n

Becker County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Alejandro Dean Alaniz of Frazee is facing a felony financial card fraud charge in Becker County District Court.<\/p>\n

The charge was filed in court file 03-CR-26-688. The case is in Minnesota\u2019s Seventh Judicial District.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, Alaniz is accused of using a debit card without the cardholder\u2019s consent.<\/p>\n

The alleged purchases happened between Sept. 22, 2025, and Oct. 2, 2025.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the total amount of the disputed charges was $912.07.<\/p>\n

Card Reported Missing<\/h2>\n

According to court documents, the cardholder reported the debit card missing after checking bank statements.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the cardholder last used the card on Sept. 18, 2025.<\/p>\n

After reviewing the account, the cardholder found several unauthorized charges.<\/p>\n

The purchases were reported in Becker County, including Detroit Lakes and Frazee.<\/p>\n

Transactions listed in the complaint included Holiday Station, McDonald\u2019s, CVS Pharmacy, Casey\u2019s, Dairy Queen, Frazee Family Foods, and All N All.<\/p>\n

Video Review Cited In Complaint<\/h2>\n

The complaint says store video from Frazee Family Foods helped identify Alaniz as the suspect.<\/p>\n

Investigators later contacted Alaniz by phone, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Court documents say Alaniz stated he felt guilty and wanted to make things right.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Alaniz reported finding the debit card at Dollar General in Frazee.<\/p>\n

He allegedly admitted to using the card several times in Frazee and Detroit Lakes.<\/p>\n

Those alleged purchases included stops at McDonald\u2019s, Casey\u2019s, Holiday, All N All, Frazee Family Foods, and CVS Pharmacy.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Alaniz later turned over a blue debit card bearing the cardholder\u2019s name.<\/p>\n

Felony Charge Filed<\/h2>\n

Alaniz is charged with financial transaction card fraud, use without consent.<\/p>\n

The charge is listed under Minnesota Statute 609.821<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The offense level is listed as a felony.<\/p>\n

The maximum sentence is five years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both.<\/p>\n
