Mahnomen Woman Charged In Home Assault Case<\/h2>\n

Mahnomen<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me)<\/a> \u2014 A Mahnomen woman is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after a reported assault inside an occupied home.<\/p>\n

According to a criminal complaint filed in Mahnomen County District Court, Sheila Mae Fineday, 33, is charged with first-degree burglary, domestic assault, and fifth-degree assault.<\/p>\n

The case was filed in Minnesota\u2019s Ninth Judicial District under court file number 44-CR-26-272.<\/p>\n

Reported Assault On South Main Street<\/h2>\n

The complaint says the incident happened on May 9, 2026, shortly before 10:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Authorities responded to a report of an assault at 312 South Main Street in Mahnomen.<\/p>\n

Alex Robert Beaulieu told police he was inside his home with Justine Louise Stone.<\/p>\n

Beaulieu reported that Fineday entered through the back door without permission.<\/p>\n

He said Fineday then began hitting him in the face with a closed fist.<\/p>\n

Beaulieu told investigators he tried to restrain Fineday to stop the assault.<\/p>\n

He said he told Fineday to leave the home several times.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, Fineday kicked Beaulieu in the face after he released her.<\/p>\n

Second Person Also Reported Injured<\/h2>\n

The complaint says Beaulieu went to the bathroom to wash blood from his face.<\/p>\n

At that point, Fineday allegedly began assaulting Stone.<\/p>\n

Stone told police that Fineday tackled her.<\/p>\n

She said Fineday then punched and struck her face and arms.<\/p>\n

Stone reported that she fought Fineday off and pushed her away.<\/p>\n

Fineday then left the home and walked toward the Wild Rice Lounge, according to court documents.<\/p>\n

Authorities reported seeing injuries on both Beaulieu and Stone.<\/p>\n

Beaulieu had bloody lips, facial redness, and swelling, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Stone had swelling near her left eye and injuries to her arm and hand.<\/p>\n

Charges Filed In Mahnomen County<\/h2>\n

The complaint says Fineday later admitted she walked into the home on her own.<\/p>\n

She also stated she was intoxicated, according to court documents.<\/p>\n

A preliminary breath test reportedly showed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.144.<\/p>\n

Fineday was arrested and taken to the Tri-County Correctional Facility.<\/p>\n

The first-degree burglary charge carries a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison.<\/p>\n

It also carries a possible $35,000 fine, or both.<\/p>\n

The domestic assault and fifth-degree assault charges are misdemeanors.<\/p>\n

Each carries a maximum sentence of 90 days in jail or a $1,000 fine.<\/p>\n
