Robert James Azure, 51, of Naytahwaush, is charged in Becker County Court File No. 03-CR-26-958.<\/p>\n
The complaint lists three charges against Azure.<\/p>\n
He is charged with fifth-degree drug possession, a felony.<\/p>\n
He is also charged with obstructing legal process and fleeing a peace officer on foot.<\/p>\n
Both of those charges are misdemeanors.<\/p>\n
Search Warrant Led To Arrest<\/h2>\n
According to the criminal complaint, officers were helping execute a search warrant on May 12, 2026.<\/p>\n
The search took place at a home on Wolf Clan Lane in Becker County.<\/p>\n
Authorities said Azure had an active felony warrant at the time.<\/p>\n
The complaint says the warrant was tied to missed court hearings in earlier Becker County cases.<\/p>\n
Officers believed Azure was at the residence during the search operation.<\/p>\n
At about 10:57 a.m., officers saw a person wearing dark clothing near the home.<\/p>\n
The complaint says the person began running as officers approached.<\/p>\n
Authorities identified the person as Azure during the pursuit.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, Azure was told he was under arrest.<\/p>\n
He was also ordered to put his hands up.<\/p>\n
The complaint says Azure did not follow those commands.<\/p>\n
Authorities allege he tried to hide behind a tree.<\/p>\n
They also allege he tried to run from officers again.<\/p>\n
Azure was later taken into custody after a brief struggle, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
During the arrest, officers reported seeing a small, clear plastic bag fall from Azure\u2019s pocket.<\/p>\n
The bag allegedly contained a white crystal substance.<\/p>\n
Authorities said the substance field tested positive for methamphetamine.<\/p>\n
The complaint says it weighed about two grams.<\/p>\n
Charges And Possible Penalties<\/h2>\n
