Logan Ordean Gislason, 28, is charged in Roseau County District Court with third-degree DWI. The complaint lists two counts tied to the same May 12, 2026 incident.<\/p>\n
The charges include third-degree DWI while under the influence. He is also charged with third-degree DWI for an alcohol concentration over .08.<\/p>\n
Both counts are listed as gross misdemeanors. Each count carries a possible sentence of up to 364 days in jail. Each count also carries a possible fine of up to $3,000.<\/p>\n
Complaint Began At Liquor Store<\/h2>\n
According to the criminal complaint, dispatch received a report at about 7:40 p.m. The report came from an employee at the Roseau Municipal Liquor Store.<\/p>\n
The employee reported that an intoxicated male entered the store and then drove away. The vehicle was described as a Chevy Trailblazer.<\/p>\n
Officers later found a silver Chevy Trailblazer parked on 6th Street SW in Roseau. The complaint says Gislason was seen in the driver\u2019s seat.<\/p>\n
A passenger was identified as Samantha Jo Hiebert. She told police she went to the liquor store with Gislason. She said the store refused service.<\/p>\n The complaint says officers noticed signs of alcohol use while speaking with Gislason. Those signs included slurred speech and the odor of alcohol.<\/p>\n Gislason allegedly declined field sobriety testing. The complaint says he told an officer, \u201cI\u2019m buzzed, I\u2019m going to be honest.\u201d<\/p>\n He was then arrested on suspicion of DWI. He was taken to the Roseau County Jail.<\/p>\n The complaint says Gislason asked to speak with an attorney. He was given a phone and a directory.<\/p>\n After that, the breath test advisory was continued. Gislason agreed to take a breath test. The complaint says the test result was .23.<\/p>\n Under Minnesota Statute 169A.20<\/a>, it is a crime to drive, operate, or be in physical control of a motor vehicle while impaired.<\/p>\n Under Minnesota Statute 169A.26<\/a>, third-degree DWI is a gross misdemeanor when an aggravating factor is present.<\/p>\n The complaint says store employee Korey Michael Myer later spoke with police. He said a female customer tried to buy alcohol.<\/p>\n Myer said he refused service because he believed the customer was intoxicated. He also said the customer told him she was not driving.<\/p>\n According to the complaint, Myer said the customer told him her driver was more drunk than she was.<\/p>\n Police later reviewed store security video. The complaint says the video showed Gislason and Hiebert arriving in the Trailblazer at about 7:33 p.m.<\/p>\n The complaint states Gislason was observed in the driver\u2019s seat.<\/p>\n Court records can be searched through Minnesota Court Records Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n The charges are allegations.
