According to a criminal complaint, Lee Ann Jones<\/strong>, 38, is accused of giving another person\u2019s name and date of birth during a traffic stop.<\/p>\n The case was filed in Becker County District Court under court file number 03-CR-26-526<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The complaint says the incident happened on or about February 28, 2026.<\/p>\n A Becker County deputy was traveling east on U.S. Highway 10<\/a> at about 5:16 a.m.<\/p>\n The deputy reported seeing a vehicle with registration that expired in October 2025.<\/p>\n A traffic stop was then made in Becker County.<\/p>\n Authorities said the driver did not have a valid driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n The complaint states the driver gave the name Andrea Elizabeth Clark<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The driver also allegedly gave Clark\u2019s date of birth as June 11, 1985.<\/p>\n The passenger told authorities the vehicle belonged to him.<\/p>\n He also said he wanted the driver to drive because he felt sick.<\/p>\n The deputy checked the name given during the stop.<\/p>\n Authorities said Clark\u2019s license was revoked.<\/p>\n A citation was then issued under the name provided by the driver.<\/p>\n Later that same day, authorities in Hennepin County contacted Becker County.<\/p>\n The complaint says the same vehicle had been stopped again.<\/p>\n During that stop, the driver again used information tied to Andrea Elizabeth Clark.<\/p>\n Authorities then reviewed tattoo descriptions connected to Clark.<\/p>\n The complaint says the driver was later identified as Lee Ann Jones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Authorities also reported that Jones had an active warrant out of Otter Tail County.<\/p>\n A photo was sent to Becker County authorities.<\/p>\n The complaint says that the photo helped identify Jones as the person stopped earlier that day.<\/p>\n Jones is charged with giving a peace officer the false name of another person.<\/p>\n The charge is listed under Minnesota Statute 609.506<\/a>.<\/p>\n The offense is a gross misdemeanor.<\/p>\n If convicted, Jones could face up to 364 days in jail.<\/p>\n She could also face a fine of up to $3,000, or both.<\/p>\n A criminal complaint is not a conviction.<\/p>\n Jones is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n More Minnesota court information can be found through the Minnesota Judicial Branch<\/a>.<\/p>\n I’m Chris Harper reporting for TRF News<\/a>.<\/p>\n Ponsford Woman Charged In False Name Case Ponsford (trfnews.i234.me) \u2014 A Ponsford woman is facing a gross misdemeanor charge in Becker County District Court.
