OTTER TAIL COUNTY<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Dent woman has been charged in connection with the death of Nichole Schoultz.<\/p>\n

Pamela Jean Breckenridge, 50, was charged May 8 in Otter Tail County District Court<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She faces three felony counts of aiding an offender.<\/p>\n

Breckenridge is the mother of Allen Michael Alberts, 33.<\/p>\n

Alberts was charged days earlier with second-degree manslaughter.<\/p>\n

He also faces a charge for violating a domestic abuse no-contact order.<\/p>\n

The charges follow a May 2 crash that led to Schoultz\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

Court Documents Detail Delay<\/h2>\n

According to court documents, Schoultz was not taken to the hospital right away.<\/p>\n

Investigators say Alberts and Breckenridge waited hours before taking her to Perham Health<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Alberts told investigators he found Schoultz in a field after the crash.<\/p>\n

He said he carried her to a car, then brought her home.<\/p>\n

He told investigators he placed Schoultz in a bathtub.<\/p>\n

He said he hoped that would help wake her.<\/p>\n

When she did not respond, Alberts said he called his mother around 3:20 a.m.<\/p>\n

Breckenridge came to the home, according to court documents.<\/p>\n

Court records say she helped move Schoultz from the bathtub to a couch.<\/p>\n

Investigators asked why no one called 911 during that time.<\/p>\n

Argument Reported Before Crash<\/h2>\n

Alberts later told investigators he had been with Schoultz at a Perham bar.<\/p>\n

He said his parents were also there earlier that night.<\/p>\n

According to court documents, the group was there around 9 p.m. on May 1.<\/p>\n

His parents left around midnight.<\/p>\n

Alberts and Schoultz stayed until at least 2 a.m.<\/p>\n

Alberts told investigators an argument began as they were leaving.<\/p>\n

He said the argument continued near his home.<\/p>\n

He reported that Schoultz punched him and grabbed the steering wheel.<\/p>\n

Alberts said he got out of the truck.<\/p>\n

He told investigators that Schoultz then drove away and crashed nearby.<\/p>\n

Hospital Trip And Court Dates<\/h2>\n

Court documents say Schoultz was later found unresponsive but breathing.<\/p>\n

After she was moved to the couch, her breathing stopped.<\/p>\n

Alberts told investigators he performed CPR while Breckenridge drove to the hospital.<\/p>\n

Schoultz never regained consciousness.<\/p>\n

She was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital at 5:45 a.m.<\/p>\n

Breckenridge was booked into the Otter Tail County Detention Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She was released on May 8 after posting $1,000 cash bail with conditions.<\/p>\n

Her next court hearing is set for June 3.<\/p>\n

Alberts remains held on $500,000 cash bail with conditions.<\/p>\n

His next court appearance is scheduled for May 18.<\/p>\n

Authorities say Alberts had prior assault convictions before this case.<\/p>\n

He also had a pending domestic assault case involving Schoultz.<\/p>\n

That case led to the no-contact order against him.<\/p>\n
