Minot<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Utah fugitive was arrested Sunday night after getting off an Amtrak<\/a> train in Minot, according to police.<\/p>\n

Authorities identified the man as 33-year-old Bounchanh Halsana, of Utah.<\/p>\n

The U.S. Marshals Service<\/a> alerted the Minot Police that Halsana was believed to be traveling to Minot by train on Sunday, May 10.<\/p>\n

Investigators also told police that Halsana had recently fled from law enforcement in three other states.<\/p>\n

Wanted On Utah Warrant<\/h2>\n

According to a release from the Minot Police<\/a>, Halsana had a full extraditable warrant issued by the state of Utah.<\/p>\n

Police said Halsana was also identified as a violent Crip gang member.<\/p>\n

Authorities described him as one of the Salt Lake City area\u2019s most wanted fugitives.<\/p>\n

Arrest Made After Train Arrival<\/h2>\n

Police said the arrest happened at about 9:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Halsana was located after exiting the train in Minot.<\/p>\n

He was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit, according to the police release.<\/p>\n

The arrest was part of a coordinated multi-agency operation.<\/p>\n

Several agencies assisted the Minot Police during the operation.<\/p>\n

Those agencies included the Ward County Narcotics Task Force and Minot SWAT.<\/p>\n

The Minot Fire Department also assisted at the scene.<\/p>\n

Other agencies involved included Homeland Security Investigations<\/a> and the Amtrak Police Department<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Salt Lake City Police Department Gang Unit also assisted.<\/p>\n

The U.S. Marshals Service was also involved in the arrest.<\/p>\n

Held In Ward County<\/h2>\n

Halsana remained in custody Monday afternoon at the Ward County Detention Center.<\/p>\n

No additional court details were immediately available in the police release.<\/p>\n

The case remains connected to the Utah warrant and extradition process.<\/p>\n
