Red Lake County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Authorities handled several calls across Red Lake County during the first week of May.<\/p>\n

The calls included traffic citations, a farm equipment scam, an ammonia leak, and a rooftop rescue.<\/p>\n

Traffic Citations Reported<\/h2>\n

On May 1, Rielle Michelle Goebel, 26, of Mapleton, Minnesota, was cited for speeding.<\/p>\n

The stop happened on Highway 32, south of Red Lake Falls.<\/p>\n

On May 5, Samantha Elizabeth Chaput, 36, of Red Lake Falls, was cited in Red Lake Falls.<\/p>\n

She was cited for misdemeanor driving after revocation on Main Avenue.<\/p>\n

Ammonia Leak Found Near Garnes Township Home<\/h2>\n

On May 1, a Garnes Township resident reported a strong ammonia smell near their home.<\/p>\n

A deputy found an anhydrous tank leaking in a nearby field.<\/p>\n

The Plummer Fire Department and Oklee Ambulance responded to the scene.<\/p>\n

Firefighters watched the area while the tank vented.<\/p>\n

The problem was resolved, and no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n

Roofing Accident In Terrebonne Township<\/h2>\n

On May 2, emergency crews responded to a Terrebonne Township home.<\/p>\n

A man had accidentally nailed his finger to a roof while shingling.<\/p>\n

Rescue crews worked for about 30 minutes to free him.<\/p>\n

He was taken by ambulance to Riverview Health<\/a> in Crookston.<\/p>\n

Officials said he is expected to fully recover.<\/p>\n

Business Scam Reported<\/h2>\n

On May 4, a Red Lake County business owner reported an online scam.<\/p>\n

Someone used a fake website with the business name to advertise farm equipment.<\/p>\n

The case was referred to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The fake website\u2019s host was also notified.<\/p>\n

The owner of Vatthauer Farm Supply said the business has no website.<\/p>\n

The owner said sales are only done in person or by phone.<\/p>\n

Missing Person Found Safe<\/h2>\n

Also on May 4, deputies received a report about a missing person.<\/p>\n

The person had been reported missing from Bismarck, North Dakota.<\/p>\n

Authorities said the person may have been in Red Lake Falls.<\/p>\n

Red Lake County worked with the Bismarck Police Department<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The next day, Bismarck police said the person was found safe.<\/p>\n

Juvenile Calls And Disturbance<\/h2>\n

On May 6, law enforcement responded to Plummer School.<\/p>\n

A juvenile had left the school without permission.<\/p>\n

The juvenile was found during a mental health crisis.<\/p>\n

They were taken to Sanford Health<\/a> in Thief River Falls for care.<\/p>\n

Later that evening, a Garnes Township resident reported a black car and gunshots.<\/p>\n

A deputy stopped the vehicle north of County Road 1.<\/p>\n

Two juvenile males admitted they had shot at birds nearby.<\/p>\n

Officials said both juveniles had consumed alcohol.<\/p>\n

More alcohol was found and destroyed.<\/p>\n

The case will be reviewed for possible minor consumption charges.<\/p>\n

On May 7, officers responded to an Equality Township disturbance.<\/p>\n

Two people were arguing over child custody.<\/p>\n

The dispute was mediated at the scene.<\/p>\n
