Thief River Falls<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Nicole Ann Fineday is facing a gross misdemeanor charge in Pennington County District Court.<\/p>\n

The charge follows a traffic stop in Thief River Falls on April 3, 2026. Court records list the charge as failure to provide insurance.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, Fineday was driving a vehicle on Highway 59. Law enforcement reported that the vehicle crossed the center line several times.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was stopped near Kendall Avenue South and Greenwood Street East. The complaint states Fineday\u2019s Minnesota driving status was revoked.<\/p>\n

Court Complaint Details<\/h2>\n

Authorities said Fineday provided an expired insurance document. She also allegedly said the vehicle was not actively insured.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the vehicle belonged to her boyfriend. It also states Fineday had an active misdemeanor warrant.<\/p>\n

The warrant was confirmed, according to the complaint. However, the issuing agency declined transport.<\/p>\n

Investigators also cited prior insurance-related convictions. The complaint lists convictions from May 2021 and August 2022.<\/p>\n

Because of those prior convictions, the new charge is filed as a gross misdemeanor.<\/p>\n

Possible Penalty<\/h2>\n

Under the complaint, the charge carries a possible penalty of 364 days in jail. It also carries a possible $3,000 fine.<\/p>\n

The case is filed in Pennington County District Court. The court file number is 57-CR-26-275.<\/p>\n
