Bemidji<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A 16-year-old boy surrendered Thursday evening after three adults were shot at a Bemidji apartment.<\/p>\n

The shooting was reported at 4:40 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2026. Officers were called to an apartment near 2500 Itasca Loop NW.<\/p>\n

Beltrami County deputies also responded to the scene. First responders found three adults with gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n

Victims Taken To Hospital<\/h2>\n

Emergency crews gave aid at the scene. The three victims were then taken to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Authorities said the victims had critical injuries. Their names were not released in the first report.<\/p>\n

The hospital was placed on lockdown as a safety step. Law enforcement searched the area for the suspect.<\/p>\n

Police later identified the suspect as a 16-year-old boy. His name was not released because he is a juvenile.<\/p>\n

Suspect Surrenders Without Incident<\/h2>\n

At 6:40 p.m., the teen surrendered at the law enforcement center. Authorities said the surrender happened without incident.<\/p>\n

No other suspect details were released. Officials also did not release a possible motive.<\/p>\n

The case remains under investigation. Additional details may come from the City of Bemidji<\/a> or Beltrami County<\/a>.<\/p>\n
