White Earth<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Tasheena Rae Neeland, 36, of Detroit Lakes, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court.<\/p>\n

Neeland was sentenced for felony fifth-degree drugs and misdemeanor DWI.<\/p>\n

A second DWI charge was dismissed as part of a plea agreement, according to court records.<\/p>\n

Vehicle Stopped Along County Highway 21<\/h2>\n

The case began on the evening of Aug. 6, 2025.<\/p>\n

According to court records, a Becker County deputy was driving on County Highway 21 in White Earth.<\/p>\n

The deputy saw the vehicle ahead pull onto the shoulder of the road.<\/p>\n

The deputy continued driving and turned around about a half mile later.<\/p>\n

Court records say the vehicle had started moving again.<\/p>\n

The deputy turned around again and followed the vehicle.<\/p>\n

The vehicle then pulled over a second time and stopped.<\/p>\n

The deputy parked behind it and went to check on the driver.<\/p>\n

The driver said she was fine, according to court records.<\/p>\n

She said her daughter had been driving and became scared.<\/p>\n

She said the girl pulled over because the deputy was behind them.<\/p>\n

Meth Found During Stop<\/h2>\n

Neeland showed signs of impairment, according to court records.<\/p>\n

She also performed poorly on sobriety tests.<\/p>\n

Court records say Neeland turned over two small blue containers.<\/p>\n

One container held a small bag with a crystalline substance inside.<\/p>\n

The substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

It weighed about one gram with packaging, according to court records.<\/p>\n

Sentence And Probation Ordered<\/h2>\n

On April 10, District Judge Michelle Lawson issued a stay of adjudication.<\/p>\n

That applies to the fifth-degree drug charge.<\/p>\n

If Neeland completes probation, that charge can be dismissed.<\/p>\n

Neeland was sentenced to 15 days in the Becker County Jail.<\/p>\n

She received credit for the two days already served.<\/p>\n

She was also fined $500 plus $160 in court fees.<\/p>\n

Neeland was placed on supervised probation for five years.<\/p>\n

She was ordered not to drink alcohol or use drugs.<\/p>\n

She must complete a comprehensive assessment and a diagnostic assessment.<\/p>\n

She must also follow all recommendations, including aftercare.<\/p>\n

The court ordered cognitive skill training and behavioral programming as directed.<\/p>\n

On the misdemeanor DWI charge, Neeland was fined $500 plus $25 in court fees.<\/p>\n
