Crookston<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Crookston woman is facing a felony drug charge after police say methamphetamine was found near a city park.<\/p>\n

Holli Jean Pierson is charged in Polk County District Court with third-degree controlled substance crime.<\/p>\n

The charge alleges possession of methamphetamine or amphetamine in a prohibited zone.<\/p>\n

The case was filed under court file number 60-CR-26-270.<\/p>\n

The alleged offense happened between September 26 and September 29, 2025.<\/p>\n

Traffic Stop Led To Arrest<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, police saw Pierson leave her Crookston home.<\/p>\n

She got into a Hyundai Sonata and drove away.<\/p>\n

Police later stopped the vehicle after reporting traffic violations.<\/p>\n

Pierson was identified as the driver.<\/p>\n

She was later arrested for driving while impaired, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

After being advised of her rights, Pierson spoke with police.<\/p>\n

She allegedly said she had used methamphetamine with Adam Bertram Allen.<\/p>\n

Pierson told police Allen had stayed at her home often since July 2025.<\/p>\n

She said Allen stayed there about five nights a week.<\/p>\n

She also said they used methamphetamine together on weekends.<\/p>\n

Garage Search Reported<\/h2>\n

The complaint says Pierson consented to a search of her home.<\/p>\n

Police searched the residence and detached garage.<\/p>\n

Inside the garage, officers reported finding a glass pipe.<\/p>\n

They also found a small baggie with a clear crystal substance.<\/p>\n

A small empty baggie was also reported to have been found.<\/p>\n

Police later said the crystal substance was sent for lab testing.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension lab reported 1.668 grams containing methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

Police also reported finding two scales and a clear plastic container in Pierson\u2019s bedroom.<\/p>\n

Park-Zone Allegation<\/h2>\n

The complaint says the garage was near Riverview\/Riverside Park.<\/p>\n

Police measured the distance from the park to the rear of the garage.<\/p>\n

The distance was listed at about 209 feet.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege the substance was found within 300 feet of the park.<\/p>\n

The charge cites Minnesota Statute 152.023<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists the offense as a felony.<\/p>\n

The maximum sentence is 20 years in prison.<\/p>\n

The charge also carries a possible $250,000 fine.<\/p>\n

Pierson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
