Edyn Ann Drouillard is charged in Beltrami County District Court.<\/p>\n

The charges include fifth-degree drug possession and giving a false name to a peace officer.<\/p>\n

The case was filed under court file number 04-CR-26-889.<\/p>\n

The alleged incident happened on April 18, 2026, in Beltrami County.<\/p>\n

Traffic Stop Started With Brake Light<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, a deputy was parked on Irvine Avenue NW.<\/p>\n

The deputy saw a dark Chrysler sedan driving south.<\/p>\n

As the vehicle neared Lumberjack Road NW, the center brake light did not work.<\/p>\n

The deputy stopped the vehicle to address the equipment issue.<\/p>\n

The driver was identified as Cole Irvine Cobenais.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Cobenais had glassy and red eyes.<\/p>\n

Two people were also seated in the rear of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

They were not wearing seat belts, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

False Name Alleged<\/h2>\n

One rear-seat passenger first gave a name that did not match state records.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the deputy became concerned that a false name was being used.<\/p>\n

That passenger was later identified as Edyn Ann Drouillard.<\/p>\n

Authorities said Drouillard had multiple warrants for her arrest.<\/p>\n

She was then placed under arrest, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

The second rear passenger was identified as Stanley Charles Donnell.<\/p>\n

Meth Allegedly Found In Purse<\/h2>\n

After the arrest, authorities searched a purse Drouillard was carrying.<\/p>\n

The complaint says a small baggie was found inside.<\/p>\n

The substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege Drouillard possessed a mixture containing methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

Methamphetamine is listed in the complaint as a Schedule II controlled substance.<\/p>\n

The drug charge cites Minnesota Statute 152.025<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The false-name charge cites Minnesota Statute 609.506<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Charges Carry Possible Jail Time<\/h2>\n

Both charges are listed as gross misdemeanors in the complaint.<\/p>\n

Each charge carries up to 364 days in jail.<\/p>\n

Each charge also carries a possible $3,000 fine.<\/p>\n
