Roseau County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Roseau man is facing two gross misdemeanor charges after a reported domestic incident.<\/p>\n

Damien Michael John Tuura, 19, is charged in Roseau County District Court.<\/p>\n

The charges include domestic assault and unlawful firearm possession.<\/p>\n

The case was filed under court file number 68-CR-26-242.<\/p>\n

The alleged incident happened on April 26, 2026, in Roseau County.<\/p>\n

Domestic Call Reported In Roseau County<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, deputies responded to a domestic violence call near State Highway 11.<\/p>\n

Dispatch reported that the male party may have had a pistol on his hip.<\/p>\n

Deputies arrived and made contact with Tuura outside the residence.<\/p>\n

Another deputy spoke with a woman inside the home.<\/p>\n

The woman told deputies Tuura came to the home and banged on the doors.<\/p>\n

She also said Tuura went inside to get firearms before deputies arrived.<\/p>\n

Pregnant Woman Reported Being Pushed<\/h2>\n

The complaint says the woman reported being pushed in the stomach.<\/p>\n

She told deputies she was five months pregnant.<\/p>\n

She said Tuura pushed her while trying to get guns from a closet.<\/p>\n

The woman also reported that a baby was inside a back bedroom.<\/p>\n

She told deputies the firearms were moved to another person\u2019s truck.<\/p>\n

She described the firearms as a 12-gauge shotgun and a .22-caliber rifle.<\/p>\n

She also reported that ammunition was with the firearms.<\/p>\n

Loaded Firearms Reported Found<\/h2>\n

Deputies later found two firearms matching the woman\u2019s description.<\/p>\n

The complaint says both firearms were loaded.<\/p>\n

Tuura allegedly told deputies neither firearm should have been loaded.<\/p>\n

The complaint also says Tuura was on probation.<\/p>\n

Authorities reported he was prohibited from possessing firearms.<\/p>\n

Tuura was arrested and taken to the Roseau County Detention Center.<\/p>\n

The domestic assault charge cites Minnesota Statute 609.2242<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The firearm possession charge cites Minnesota Statute 624.713<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Both charges are listed as gross misdemeanors in the complaint.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Tuura had a prior domestic assault conviction on April 7, 2026.<\/p>\n
