MAHNOMEN, Minn.<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Bruce John Auginaush, 61, of Mahnomen, is facing a felony charge in Mahnomen County District Court.<\/p>\n

The charge involves Minnesota\u2019s predatory offender registration law.<\/p>\n

According to a criminal complaint, Auginaush is accused of failing to meet registration requirements.<\/p>\n

The alleged offense happened on or about March 22, 2026.<\/p>\n

Felony Charge Filed In Mahnomen County<\/h2>\n

The complaint says Auginaush is required to register for life.<\/p>\n

That requirement followed prior court convictions listed in the complaint.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege Auginaush did not properly update the required information.<\/p>\n

The felony charge carries a possible prison sentence.<\/p>\n

The maximum sentence is five years.<\/p>\n

It also carries a possible $10,000 fine.<\/p>\n

Complaint Details Address Issue<\/h2>\n

The complaint says Auginaush completed a change form in November 2025.<\/p>\n

That form listed a State Highway 200 address in Mahnomen.<\/p>\n

The complaint says no secondary address was listed.<\/p>\n

Authorities later received information about a camper at another property.<\/p>\n

That property was listed on 320th Avenue in Mahnomen.<\/p>\n

On March 22, deputies contacted Auginaush in a motor home at that location.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Auginaush first denied living at the property.<\/p>\n

He then allegedly said he had not lived at the listed address during the winter.<\/p>\n

He could not provide the date he moved, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Motor Home Also Noted<\/h2>\n

The complaint says the motor home had Minnesota plates.<\/p>\n

A registered owner later said the motor home had been sold to Auginaush.<\/p>\n

The owner said that the sale happened about two years earlier.<\/p>\n

Auginaush has been charged with a complaint.<\/p>\n
