Red Lake County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Red Lake Falls man faces several charges after a traffic stop on Broadway Avenue.<\/p>\n

The stop happened during the evening of April 25, 2026, in Red Lake Falls. Authorities said the vehicle was stopped for an equipment violation.<\/p>\n

The driver was identified as Lee Alan Kaml, 58, of Red Lake Falls. Authorities said Kaml had a revoked driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n

According to the sheriff\u2019s office report, Kaml also showed signs of impairment. Authorities said the suspected impairment involved an illegal controlled substance.<\/p>\n

Kaml was placed under arrest. He then reported that he was having an asthma attack.<\/p>\n

The Red Lake Falls Ambulance was called to the scene. Authorities said Kaml refused treatment and transport.<\/p>\n

Controlled Substances Reported In Vehicle<\/h2>\n

Additional deputies responded to the stop. Authorities said illegal controlled substances were found inside Kaml\u2019s vehicle.<\/p>\n

Kaml was taken to jail in Crookston. He was booked on felony possession of an illegal controlled substance.<\/p>\n

He was also booked for gross misdemeanor DWI test refusal. A misdemeanor driving after revocation charge was also listed.<\/p>\n

Kaml appeared in court in Crookston on April 27, 2026. He was released with court-ordered conditions.<\/p>\n

His next court appearance is scheduled for May 6, 2026, in Red Lake Falls. Court information can be checked through Minnesota Court Records Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Training Burn Held In Lambert Township<\/h2>\n

On April 26, Red Lake County law enforcement and Oklee Ambulance assisted at a training burn.<\/p>\n

The burn was held in Lambert Township. The Oklee Fire Department also took part.<\/p>\n

Members from other area fire departments joined the exercise. An abandoned house was burned during the training.<\/p>\n

Other Red Lake County Calls<\/h2>\n

Also on April 26, a Red Lake Falls resident reported loud music from a neighbor.<\/p>\n

A deputy spoke with the person involved. Authorities said the person agreed to turn the music down.<\/p>\n

On April 27, a Red Lake Falls resident reported trespassing and theft. That case remains under investigation.<\/p>\n

Later that morning, a vehicle struck Wright\u2019s Consignment in Red Lake Falls. The vehicle and building were damaged.<\/p>\n

No injuries were reported. Crash reports were completed for the driver and building owner.<\/p>\n

On April 27, authorities received a dog bite report in Brooks. The victim went to Sanford Health<\/a> in Thief River Falls for treatment.<\/p>\n

Scott Richard Lambert, 49, of Brooks, was cited for misdemeanor public nuisance. Authorities said two dogs were running loose.<\/p>\n

On April 28, two labs were reported missing south of Terrebonne. Anyone with information may contact the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

On April 29, James Roger Nephew, 59, of Red Lake Falls, was cited for misdemeanor driving after cancellation.<\/p>\n

The citation was issued on Main Avenue in Red Lake Falls.<\/p>\n

On April 30, Karissa Joy Fuhrman, 33, of Baxter, was cited for speeding.<\/p>\n

The citation was issued on Highway 59 south of Plummer.<\/p>\n
