Court records list the case as 60-CR-26-521.<\/p>\n<p>Hulst is charged with a fourth-degree controlled substance crime involving sale. She is also charged with fifth-degree controlled substance possession.<\/p>\n<p>The sale charge carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. It also carries a possible $100,000 fine.<\/p>\n<p>The possession charge carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. It also carries a possible $10,000 fine.<\/p>\n<h2>Report Led Police To Crookston Home<\/h2>\n<p>According to the complaint, police received a report at about 1:54 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The caller reported a woman driving a van. The caller said the woman was slurring her words.<\/p>\n<p>The caller also reported a young child was unbuckled and walking inside the van.<\/p>\n<p>Police traced the van\u2019s license plate to Hulst. Court records state she was on supervised probation.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities then contacted Tri-County Community Corrections. A probation search was authorized.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"text-align: center; margin: 25px auto;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto; border-radius: 6px;\" src=\"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/HULST-MADISON-KAYE.jpg\" alt=\"Madison Kaye Hulst mugshot\" \/><figcaption>Madison Kaye Hulst<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Complaint Cites Pills And Text Messages<\/h2>\n<p>Police went to Hulst\u2019s Crookston residence and found the van in the driveway.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says a young child was also in the van.<\/p>\n<p>Hulst told police she was taking several medications. She also said she had smoked marijuana.<\/p>\n<p>Police asked Hulst to show her medications. She brought out a zippered pouch with prescription bottles.<\/p>\n<p>Inside, police reported finding two blue and white capsules marked \u201cS489\u201d and \u201c50 mg.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says the pills were identified as Vyvanse. Vyvanse contains lisdexamfetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance.<\/p>\n<p>Hulst allegedly told police she did not have a Vyvanse prescription.<\/p>\n<p>She reportedly said the pills belonged to a friend. She also said the friend left them weeks earlier.<\/p>\n<h2>Prosecutors Seek Aggravated Sentence<\/h2>\n<p>Hulst later provided a urine sample. The complaint says it tested positive only for THC.<\/p>\n<p>Police also searched her phone during the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says officers found what appeared to be drug-related text messages.<\/p>\n<p>After being told about the messages, Hulst allegedly admitted to selling Vyvanse for a friend.<\/p>\n<p>She also allegedly said she charged extra to make money for herself.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors filed notice that they may seek an aggravated sentence. That would apply if Hulst is convicted or pleads guilty without a plea deal.<\/p>\n<p>The charges are allegations.
