Crookston<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 Madison Kaye Hulst, 27, of Crookston, is facing two felony drug charges in Polk County District Court.<\/p>\n

The charges stem from an April 20, 2026, probation search in Crookston. Court records list the case as 60-CR-26-521.<\/p>\n

Hulst is charged with a fourth-degree controlled substance crime involving sale. She is also charged with fifth-degree controlled substance possession.<\/p>\n

The sale charge carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. It also carries a possible $100,000 fine.<\/p>\n

The possession charge carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. It also carries a possible $10,000 fine.<\/p>\n

Report Led Police To Crookston Home<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, police received a report at about 1:54 p.m.<\/p>\n

The caller reported a woman driving a van. The caller said the woman was slurring her words.<\/p>\n

The caller also reported a young child was unbuckled and walking inside the van.<\/p>\n

Police traced the van\u2019s license plate to Hulst. Court records state she was on supervised probation.<\/p>\n

Authorities then contacted Tri-County Community Corrections. A probation search was authorized.<\/p>\n

Complaint Cites Pills And Text Messages<\/h2>\n

Police went to Hulst\u2019s Crookston residence and found the van in the driveway.<\/p>\n

The complaint says a young child was also in the van.<\/p>\n

Hulst told police she was taking several medications. She also said she had smoked marijuana.<\/p>\n

Police asked Hulst to show her medications. She brought out a zippered pouch with prescription bottles.<\/p>\n

Inside, police reported finding two blue and white capsules marked \u201cS489\u201d and \u201c50 mg.\u201d<\/p>\n

The complaint says the pills were identified as Vyvanse. Vyvanse contains lisdexamfetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance.<\/p>\n

Hulst allegedly told police she did not have a Vyvanse prescription.<\/p>\n

She reportedly said the pills belonged to a friend. She also said the friend left them weeks earlier.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors Seek Aggravated Sentence<\/h2>\n

Hulst later provided a urine sample. The complaint says it tested positive only for THC.<\/p>\n

Police also searched her phone during the investigation.<\/p>\n

The complaint says officers found what appeared to be drug-related text messages.<\/p>\n

After being told about the messages, Hulst allegedly admitted to selling Vyvanse for a friend.<\/p>\n

She also allegedly said she charged extra to make money for herself.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors filed notice that they may seek an aggravated sentence. That would apply if Hulst is convicted or pleads guilty without a plea deal.<\/p>\n

The charges are allegations. Hulst is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
