The court file number is 57-CR-26-230.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged offense dates are listed as January 20, 2026, through February 18, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>According to the complaint, the case began after a 13-year-old contacted police on February 18.<\/p>\n<p>The juvenile reported that an adult had sent inappropriate photos and messages through Snapchat.<\/p>\n<p>The child is identified only by initials in court records.<\/p>\n<h2>Complaint Details Snapchat Allegations<\/h2>\n<p>According to the complaint, M.P. said Teie randomly added him on Snapchat.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says the conversation first appeared normal. It later turned sexual, according to investigators.<\/p>\n<p>M.P. showed law enforcement the messages, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n<p>While the messages were being reviewed, Teie allegedly sent another inappropriate image.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says M.P. stated more than once that he was 13 years old.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators allege Teie continued to send sexual comments and questions after that.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center; margin: 25px 0;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto; border-radius: 6px;\" src=\"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Damian-Marshall-Teie.png\" alt=\"Damian Marshall Teie mugshot\" \/><em>Damian Marshall Teie<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Defendant Statement Listed In Complaint<\/h2>\n<p>Law enforcement later located Teie on February 20, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n<p>Teie acknowledged adding M.P. on Snapchat, according to court records.<\/p>\n<p>He also acknowledged sending inappropriate Snapchats, the complaint says.<\/p>\n<p>Teie told investigators he did not know M.P. was 13 years old.<\/p>\n<p>He also claimed he deleted M.P. after learning the child was underage.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says Teie admitted sending an explicit image involving himself and another person.<\/p>\n<p>Court records also cite a prior case involving a minor.<\/p>\n<p>According to the complaint, Teie previously pleaded guilty in 2019 to an aggravated stalking charge.<\/p>\n<p>That charge involved a victim under 18 and alleged sexual or aggressive intent.<\/p>\n<h2>Felony Charge Filed<\/h2>\n<p>The current charge was filed under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/statutes\/cite\/609.352\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Minnesota Statute 609.352<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The charge carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.<\/p>\n<p>It may also carry a $10,000 fine, or both.<\/p>\n<p>Public court records can be searched through <a href=\"https:\/\/publicaccess.courts.state.mn.us\/CaseSearch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Minnesota Court Records Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Online child exploitation reports can also be made through the <a href=\"https:\/\/report.cybertip.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Center for Missing &amp; Exploited Children CyberTipline<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A criminal complaint is not a conviction.<\/p>\n<p>Teie is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m Chris Harper reporting for <a href=\"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TRF News<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thief River Falls (trfnews.i234.me) \u2014 A Thief River Falls man is facing a felony charge after a reported online exchange with a minor.
