East Grand Forks<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Fisher woman is facing two gross misdemeanor DWI charges in Polk County District Court.<\/p>\n

Alexandria Casey Johnson, 35, of Fisher, has been charged with third-degree driving while impaired.<\/p>\n

The case was filed in Minnesota\u2019s Ninth Judicial District. The court file number is 60-CR-26-445.<\/p>\n

The charges stem from an April 5, 2026, traffic stop in East Grand Forks.<\/p>\n

Traffic Stop On Demers Avenue<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, a dark SUV was seen driving without headlights.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was northbound on Demers Avenue shortly before 9 p.m.<\/p>\n

A traffic stop was then made in East Grand Forks.<\/p>\n

Johnson was identified as the driver. The complaint says she was alone in the SUV.<\/p>\n

Authorities reported seeing bloodshot and watery eyes. They also reported slurred speech.<\/p>\n

The complaint says a strong odor of alcohol came from the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Johnson allegedly said she had one whiskey sour at The Bun Lounge.<\/p>\n

Breath Test Reported at .17<\/h2>\n

The complaint says Johnson agreed to field sobriety tests.<\/p>\n

Authorities reported several signs of possible impairment during those tests.<\/p>\n

A preliminary breath test allegedly showed a .185 BAC.<\/p>\n

Johnson was arrested and taken for further testing.<\/p>\n

At the police department, Johnson asked to speak with an attorney.<\/p>\n

She later agreed to a breath test, according to court records.<\/p>\n

The final reported breath value was .17 BrAC.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Johnson had no prior alcohol-related convictions.<\/p>\n

Gross Misdemeanor Charges Filed<\/h2>\n

Johnson is charged under Minnesota Statute 169A.20<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The third-degree DWI charge references Minnesota Statute 169A.26<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Each count carries a maximum sentence of 364 days in jail.<\/p>\n

Each count also carries a possible $3,000 fine.<\/p>\n
