Bemidji<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Hackensack man is facing a gross misdemeanor charge in Beltrami County District Court.<\/p>\n

Aaron James Isaacs, 48, has been charged with interfering with privacy. The case was filed in Minnesota\u2019s Ninth Judicial District. The court file number is 04-CR-26-744.<\/p>\n

The charge is tied to an alleged hidden camera found inside a Bemidji bedroom. Court records say the device was hidden inside a cellphone charging block.<\/p>\n

Hidden Camera Allegedly Found In Bedroom<\/h2>\n

According to the criminal complaint, police responded to a Bemidji home on March 25, 2026. The report involved suspicious activity at the residence.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Isaacs had been living at the home from January until about one week before the report.<\/p>\n

A woman told police that Isaacs appeared to know when her current boyfriend was present. The boyfriend later found a hidden camera, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

The device was allegedly inside a cellphone charging block. The block was plugged into a wall outlet in the bedroom.<\/p>\n

Complaint Says Defendant Admitted Device Was His<\/h2>\n

The complaint states the woman confronted Isaacs with a photo of the charger. He first denied that it belonged to him.<\/p>\n

After she said she may turn it over to police, Isaacs allegedly admitted it was his.<\/p>\n

Court records say Isaacs told her he installed the device because he suspected cheating. He also allegedly said it had been installed since January 2026.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the woman, her boyfriend, and her 15-year-old daughter had slept and changed in that room.<\/p>\n

Police later spoke with Isaacs. The complaint says he admitted placing the hidden camera in the bedroom without the woman\u2019s knowledge.<\/p>\n

Isaacs allegedly said he wanted to see who was entering the bedroom. He also said the video streamed to his phone.<\/p>\n

Gross Misdemeanor Charge Filed<\/h2>\n

Isaacs is charged under Minnesota Statute 609.746<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The charge carries a maximum sentence of 364 days in jail. It also carries a possible $3,000 fine.<\/p>\n

Court information may be available through the Minnesota Judicial Branch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A criminal complaint is not a conviction. Isaacs is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
