{"id":26846,"date":"2026-04-26T10:01:21","date_gmt":"2026-04-26T15:01:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\/wordpress\/?p=26846"},"modified":"2026-04-26T10:01:21","modified_gmt":"2026-04-26T15:01:21","slug":"mahnomen-man-charged-in-grocery-store-damage-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\/wordpress\/mahnomen-man-charged-in-grocery-store-damage-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Mahnomen Man Charged In Grocery Store Damage Case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Mahnomen<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Mahnomen man is facing a felony property damage charge after an alleged dispute outside a grocery store.<\/p>\n<p>Dylan John Guinn is charged in Mahnomen County District Court with first-degree damage to property.<\/p>\n<p>The case is filed in Minnesota\u2019s 9th Judicial District under court file 44-CR-26-192.<\/p>\n<p>A warrant was requested in the case, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n<h2>Report At Bruggeman\u2019s Grocery Store<\/h2>\n<p>According to the complaint, law enforcement was dispatched January 15, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The call came in at about 1:06 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The report involved a possible fight at Bruggeman\u2019s Grocery Store in Mahnomen.<\/p>\n<p>Robert Bruggeman told authorities that a man was trying to fight someone in a black SUV.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says the black SUV left the area.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities later made contact with Guinn near the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Guinn was described as wearing a brown coat and blue jeans.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says he appeared jittery and made uncontrolled movements.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center; margin: 25px 0;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto; display: inline-block;\" src=\"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/GUINN-DYLAN-JOHN.jpg\" alt=\"Mugshot of Dylan John Guinn\" \/><em>Dylan John Guinn<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Vehicle Damage Reported<\/h2>\n<p>A short time later, dispatch reported that Nathan Kirsch was at Cenex.<\/p>\n<p>Kirsch said he found damage to the vehicle he had been driving.<\/p>\n<p>According to the complaint, Kirsch said he had pulled into Bruggeman\u2019s by the front entrance.<\/p>\n<p>He said a man wearing a brown coat came from 1st Street.<\/p>\n<p>Kirsch reported that the man yelled at him to get out and fight.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says the man moved around to Kirsch\u2019s side of the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Kirsch said the man then hit the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Kirsch reported the damage at his boss\u2019 request, according to court documents.<\/p>\n<h2>Witness Statement Cited<\/h2>\n<p>Authorities later spoke with William Brave Bull about the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Brave Bull said he saw a man run up to the black SUV.<\/p>\n<p>He said the man yelled for the driver to get out and fight.<\/p>\n<p>Brave Bull then went inside and told Robert Bruggeman to call police.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says Brave Bull later identified the man as Guinn.<\/p>\n<p>He said he recognized Guinn from regular visits to the store.<\/p>\n<p>The estimated repair cost for the vehicle was $1,063.<\/p>\n<p>The charge is listed under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revisor.mn.gov\/statutes\/cite\/609.595\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Minnesota Statute 609.595<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The felony charge carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.<\/p>\n<p>It also carries a possible $10,000 fine, or both.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint says prosecutors requested a warrant.<\/p>\n<p>They cited two active warrants tied to missed court appearances.<\/p>\n<p>The charge is only an accusation at this stage.<\/p>\n<p>Guinn is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n<p>More case information may be available through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mncourts.gov\/Access-Case-Records.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Minnesota Judicial Branch<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m Chris Harper reporting for <a href=\"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TRF News<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mahnomen (trfnews.i234.me) \u2014 A Mahnomen man is facing a felony property damage charge after an alleged dispute outside a grocery store.
