Bemidji<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Cass Lake man is facing a felony firearm theft charge after a reported vehicle break-in at a Bemidji hotel.<\/p>\n

Cameron Juan Lindgren is charged in Beltrami County District Court with theft of a firearm.<\/p>\n

He is also charged with fourth-degree damage to property.<\/p>\n

The case is filed in Minnesota\u2019s 9th Judicial District under court file 04-CR-26-483.<\/p>\n

Break-In Reported At Bemidji Hotel<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, the incident happened February 13, 2026.<\/p>\n

Police were called to the Best Western Hotel in Bemidji at about 3 a.m.<\/p>\n

The report involved a vehicle break-in in the hotel parking lot.<\/p>\n

Authorities were told the break-in happened between about 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the suspect vehicle was described as a white Chrysler 300.<\/p>\n

Police later found a white GMC Sierra in the parking lot.<\/p>\n

The truck had a shattered rear driver\u2019s side window.<\/p>\n

The door was also open, according to court documents.<\/p>\n

AR-15 Reported Missing<\/h2>\n

The truck owner, identified in the complaint as B.J., spoke with police.<\/p>\n

B.J. said he believed Lindgren had damaged the truck.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, B.J. said an AR-15 was missing from the truck.<\/p>\n

B.J. also reported getting a Snapchat message from A.N.<\/p>\n

The message allegedly warned him not to come outside.<\/p>\n

It also claimed Lindgren had taken the gun, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Authorities later found A.N. and the Chrysler 300 at a residence.<\/p>\n

A.N. told police Lindgren left on foot with the firearm.<\/p>\n

She also said she saw Lindgren break into the truck and take the firearm.<\/p>\n

Felony Charge Filed<\/h2>\n

Lindgren is charged with theft of a firearm under Minnesota Statute 609.52<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The firearm theft charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years.<\/p>\n

It also carries a possible $100,000 fine, or both.<\/p>\n

The damage charge is listed under Minnesota Statute 609.595<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That charge is listed as a misdemeanor in the complaint.<\/p>\n

A summons was issued in the case.<\/p>\n

The charges are only accusations at this stage.<\/p>\n

Lindgren is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
