When the family returned, it was gone.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with the Chromebook can contact the sheriff\u2019s office. It can also be returned to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rlcc2906.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Red Lake County Central Schools<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Minor Consumption Stops Reported<\/h2>\n<p>Early on April 18, a vehicle was stopped on Highway 32 south of Red Lake Falls.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said two people were inside the vehicle. Both were under 21 years old.<\/p>\n<p>The passenger, Marley William Benoit, 18, of Red Lake Falls, showed signs of alcohol use.<\/p>\n<p>A breath test confirmed alcohol consumption. Benoit was cited for misdemeanor minor consumption.<\/p>\n<p>The driver had not been drinking. The driver was warned for the moving violation.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"text-align: center; margin: 25px 0;\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto; border-radius: 6px;\" src=\"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Scott-Lee-Tyler.png\" alt=\"Mugshot of Scott Lee Tyler\" \/><figcaption>Scott Lee Tyler mugshot.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Mentor Man Arrested On Red Lake County Warrant<\/h2>\n<p>On April 18, the Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office reported the arrest of Scott Lee Tyler, 23, of Mentor.<\/p>\n<p>A Red Lake County warrant had been issued on April 15.<\/p>\n<p>The warrant involved felony solicitation of a child through electronic communication to engage in sexual conduct.<\/p>\n<p>The criminal complaint alleges Tyler sent explicit Instagram messages to a person under age 15.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged messages were sent in Red Lake County in August 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Tyler appeared in court in Crookston on April 20.<\/p>\n<p>He posted $1,000 cash bail and was released with conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Those conditions include no contact with the victim.<\/p>\n<p>His next court appearance is set for May 20 in Red Lake Falls. Court information can be found through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mncourts.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Minnesota Judicial Branch<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Speeding, Dogs, Crash, And Vandalism<\/h2>\n<p>On April 20, Kristayanna Rose Hamilton, 22, of East Grand Forks, was cited for speeding.<\/p>\n<p>The citation happened on Highway 32 north of Red Lake Falls.<\/p>\n<p>That evening, Eagle Square staff reported two dogs running loose in the parking lot.<\/p>\n<p>One dog was caught and taken to the pound in Thief River Falls.<\/p>\n<p>The second dog could not be caught at first.<\/p>\n<p>An employee later reported that the small dog bit them while they took out trash.<\/p>\n<p>Brianna Nicole Breiland, 30, of Red Lake Falls, was cited under city ordinance.<\/p>\n<p>She was accused of allowing a dog to run at large.<\/p>\n<p>She was also told to update vaccinations and license her pets.<\/p>\n<p>On April 21, a vehicle struck a parked, empty vehicle at St. Joseph\u2019s Catholic Church.<\/p>\n<p>No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were damaged.<\/p>\n<p>On April 22, vandalism was reported at Riverside Park in Red Lake Falls.<\/p>\n<p>City crews cleaned up the mess. The case remains under investigation.<\/p>\n<p>That evening, a possible harassment or restraining order violation was reported.<\/p>\n<p>That case also remains under investigation.<\/p>\n<h2>Late-Night Riverside Park Alcohol Case<\/h2>\n<p>Just before midnight on April 22, an occupied vehicle was found at Riverside Park.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said three young males were inside.<\/p>\n<p>All were under 21 and had been drinking.<\/p>\n<p>Marijuana vaping devices were also found and seized.<\/p>\n<p>Gage David Gilbert, 18, of Middle River, was cited for misdemeanor minor consumption.<\/p>\n<p>Benjiman Allen Kuhn, 18, of Thief River Falls, was also cited.<\/p>\n<p>A juvenile male from Thief River Falls will be summonsed to juvenile court.<\/p>\n<p>All three were released to sober parties.<\/p>\n<p>Early on April 24, loose horses were reported on County Road 7 east of Highway 59.<\/p>\n<p>The horses were found in the owner\u2019s yard, but they were not fenced in.<\/p>\n<p>The owner was told to fix the issue.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m Chris Harper reporting for <a href=\"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TRF News<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Red Lake County (trfnews.i234.me) \u2014 Several calls and cases were reported across Red Lake County between April 17 and April 24, 2026.
