Cass Lake<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me)<\/a> \u2014 A Cass Lake man is facing several charges after authorities said he shot himself in the leg outside a bar in Cass County.<\/p>\n

According to a criminal complaint, Dean Kyle Jourdain<\/strong>, 24, was injured early on December 11, 2025, outside Logjammerz Bar and Grill in the Cass Lake area.<\/p>\n

Court records say law enforcement was called at about 12:39 a.m. for a report of a man who had shot himself in the leg.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived, they found Jourdain near a pickup with a gunshot wound to his right leg. The complaint says the bullet entered above his kneecap and exited below it.<\/p>\n

What the complaint says<\/h2>\n

The complaint says Jourdain told authorities he was alone outside the bar when the shooting happened.<\/p>\n

He also said the gun was not his.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, he said the pistol was in his jacket pocket when it fired.<\/p>\n

Authorities later found the gun under steps near the bar in the snow.<\/p>\n

The complaint identifies the weapon as a Glock 43 pistol.<\/p>\n

Investigators said the gun matched one reported stolen in Stearns County in August 2022.<\/p>\n

That report said the handgun had been taken from a truck.<\/p>\n

Charges filed in Cass County<\/h2>\n

Jourdain is charged with felony possession of stolen property involving a firearm.<\/p>\n

He also faces a gross misdemeanor charge for carrying or possessing a pistol in a public place without a permit.<\/p>\n

A third count alleges he transported a pistol while he was still charged in another case punishable by more than one year in prison.<\/p>\n

He also faces a misdemeanor charge of recklessly handling or using a firearm in a way that endangered another person.<\/p>\n

The complaint notes that a records check found no permit to carry or permit to purchase for Jourdain.<\/p>\n

The complaint also references a 2023 Hubbard County felony fleeing case.<\/p>\n

According to the filing, Jourdain received a stay of adjudication in April 2024.<\/p>\n

He was placed on probation for three years.<\/p>\n
