WARREN, Minn.<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Warren woman is facing a felony drug charge in Marshall County after investigators said they found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside her apartment in a public housing area.<\/p>\n

According to a criminal complaint filed in Minnesota District Court<\/a>, Carla Christene Swenson, 47, was charged with third-degree drug possession in a public housing zone. The charge is tied to an alleged incident on July 29, 2025.<\/p>\n

What the charge says<\/h2>\n

The complaint says Swenson is accused under Minnesota Statute 152.023<\/a>. That law covers possession of methamphetamine or amphetamine in certain protected areas, including public housing zones.<\/p>\n

The charge is a felony. The listed maximum penalty is 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, or both. A charge is only an accusation. It does not mean a conviction.<\/p>\n

The complaint says drug task force investigators assisted a Minnesota Department of Corrections agent during a probation search at Swenson\u2019s Warren residence. The court filing says Swenson was asked to provide a urine sample during the visit.<\/p>\n

While waiting in the apartment, investigators reported seeing a bag with white residue in plain view. The complaint says a field test indicated methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

After that, the complaint says Swenson was unable to complete the urine test but signed an admission of methamphetamine use. The filing says a search then began inside the apartment.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, Swenson told investigators there was methamphetamine on a mirror inside a kitchen drawer. Investigators reported finding two glass pipes, a mirror with a crystal-like substance, and other drug paraphernalia in that drawer.<\/p>\n

The complaint also says investigators found a clear liquid in a glass container. A field test reportedly indicated methamphetamine. Court records say Swenson told investigators the liquid had been used to filter methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

The complaint says investigators collected the suspected drugs and paraphernalia as evidence. The filing states the suspected methamphetamine weighed about 0.8 grams on an uncertified digital scale.<\/p>\n

Probation status and next steps<\/h2>\n

Court records say Swenson was already on supervised probation through the Minnesota Department of Corrections for a prior fifth-degree drug case in Marshall County. She was then arrested and taken to the Pennington County Jail for an alleged probation violation.<\/p>\n
