Pennington County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A woman from Thief River Falls has been charged with third-degree DWI in Pennington County. The charge followed a traffic stop early on March 24, 2026, according to a criminal complaint.<\/p>\n

Traffic Stop on Highway 1<\/h2>\n

The complaint says a deputy saw a westbound vehicle cross the fog line and center line several times. The stop happened near State Highway 1 East and Oak Avenue North.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, the driver was identified as Alicia Noel Wikert<\/strong>, 39. The complaint says open Busch Light cans were seen inside the vehicle. It also says another beer can was found near her feet.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Wikert told the deputy she had been drinking in Goodridge. It says she admitted she believed she was over the legal limit.<\/p>\n

Field Tests and Evidence<\/h2>\n

The complaint says Wikert took field sobriety tests after leaving the vehicle. The report lists signs of impairment during those tests.<\/p>\n

The complaint also says Wikert told the deputy she had serious past injuries. She said those injuries affected her balance.<\/p>\n

A preliminary breath test showed 0.19, according to the complaint. Investigators also reported finding several empty beer cans inside the truck.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was later moved from the turning lane to the Northland College parking lot. Wikert was then taken to the Pennington County Jail.<\/p>\n

Breath Test at the Jail<\/h2>\n

At the jail, the complaint says Wikert agreed to a breath test. The reported result was 0.19.<\/p>\n

She is charged with third-degree DWI, with an alcohol concentration of .16 or more. The complaint lists the charge as a gross misdemeanor.<\/p>\n
