Mahnomen County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) Bruce John Auginash Jr.<\/strong> has been charged in a felony drug case. The case was filed in Mahnomen County District Court.<\/p>\n

According to the criminal complaint, Auginash is charged with second-degree drug possession. The charge involves six grams or more, or 50 dosage units or more, of fentanyl or heroin. Court records list the case as file number 44-CR-26-113.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the charge carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison. It also lists a possible fine of $500,000. A charge is only an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n

What the complaint says<\/h2>\n

According to the filing, investigators served a narcotics search warrant at 3057 State Highway 200 in Mahnomen County. The complaint says Bruce Auginash Sr. was at the doorway when officers arrived. Bruce John Auginash Jr. was inside the home near a bed in the living room, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

The filing says Auginash agreed to speak with investigators after being advised of his rights. The complaint says he denied selling drugs. It also says he told officers any drugs in the home could belong to his brother, Bryce.<\/p>\n

Investigators reported finding suspected fentanyl in two places in the living room. One item was a folded paper bindle on a coffee table. The complaint says that item weighed about 0.840 grams with the bindle. A second bag was found between the couch cushions. The filing says that the item weighed about 12.550 grams with the bag.<\/p>\n

Evidence listed in court records<\/h2>\n

The complaint also lists a tin dish with white residue, a digital scale, two iPhones, and drug paraphernalia. Court records say a shotgun and ammunition were also found in the trunk of a vehicle at the property.<\/p>\n

The filing says the shotgun was wrapped in a black Hurley T-shirt. The complaint does not say in this count that the firearm led to a separate charge. The current complaint shown here lists one drug count against Auginash.<\/p>\n

Date issue in the complaint<\/h2>\n

There is one date issue in the court filing. The charge section lists an offense date of July 30, 2025. But the probable cause section says the search warrant was executed on August 4, 2024. The complaint does not explain that difference.<\/p>\n
