{"id":23844,"date":"2026-03-28T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-03-28T15:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\/wordpress\/?p=23844"},"modified":"2026-03-28T06:25:25","modified_gmt":"2026-03-28T11:25:25","slug":"dale-hanson-66","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trfnews.i234.me\/wordpress\/dale-hanson-66\/","title":{"rendered":"Dale Hanson, 66"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<p>Crosslake \u2013 Dale Robert Hanson, of Crosslake, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026.<br \/>\nDale was born on July 26, 1959, at 4:12 a.m. in Thief River Falls, weighing 6 lbs. 10\u00bd oz. and measuring 20\u00bd inches long. He was baptized on October 18, 1959, and confirmed on May 5, 1974, milestones that shaped the foundation of his life.<br \/>\nRaised in northern Minnesota, Dale graduated from Middle River High School on May 22, 1977. He was an accomplished athlete, playing baseball, football, basketball and golf. His love of sports continued throughout his entire life. During his high school years Dale worked for the Thief Lake DNR and assisted farmers during the summer months. After graduating from Middle River High School, he attended Northland Community College.<br \/>\nAfter college, he served as a Fireman\/Paramedic with the Williston Fire Department in North Dakota. He also worked as a Realtor for Edina Realty and Sales Manager for Enbridge Gas Co. in Williston, North Dakota. Dale later served his community through the Crosslake USPS. In every role, he was known for his reliability, work ethic and friendly demeanor. Dale took pride in his performance as well as his appearance.<br \/>\nA man deeply connected to the outdoors, Dale cherished time spent fishing, kayaking, bird hunting, golfing and exploring nature. He loved farm life, family pets and the history of the region he called home. Cooking was one of his joys\u2014he delighted in trying new recipes and sharing meals with those he loved.<br \/>\nAbove all, Dale treasured his family. He found immense happiness watching his sons, Jaron and Jagar, play sports and visiting the farm to spend time with family. His presence was steady, warm, always supportive and full of laughter and humor.<br \/>\nDale was a proud member of the American Legion SAL of Middle River, Post 444, honoring the traditions and values that meant so much to him and his family.<br \/>\nHe is preceded in death by his father, Hjalmer Hanson; both maternal and paternal grandparents.<br \/>\nDale is survived by his two sons, Jaron and Jagar; his mother, Patricia Hanson; and his siblings, Harlyn (Traci), Diane, Rory (Kerry), and Tarayn. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will forever hold his memory close.<br \/>\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Our Savior\u2019s Lutheran Church in Thief Lake, MN.<br \/>\nVisitation will be held after 5 p.m., on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Collins Funeral Chapel in Middle River.<br \/>\nInterment services will be held at Our Savior\u2019s Lutheran Cemetery in Thief Lake, MN.<br \/>\nArrangements are with Collins Funeral Home of Middle River.<br \/>\nAn online guestbook is available at www.collinsfunerals.com.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Crosslake \u2013 Dale Robert Hanson, of Crosslake, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026.
