Glen Ullin<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A 7-year-old child was killed Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash about 15 miles north of Glen Ullin. Several other people suffered serious injuries.<\/p>\n

Crash Happened at Rural Intersection<\/h2>\n

The crash happened around 7 a.m. at Highway 49 and 28th Street Southwest. Authorities said a pickup driven by a 35-year-old man from Beulah hit an SUV driven by a 40-year-old woman from New Salem.<\/p>\n

Investigators said the SUV entered Highway 49 after failing to stop at a stop sign. The pickup then struck the SUV.<\/p>\n

Child Dies, Others Seriously Hurt<\/h2>\n

Four children were riding in the SUV. A 7-year-old child died at the scene. A 9-year-old, 12-year-old, and 4-year-old were all badly hurt.<\/p>\n

Both drivers also suffered serious injuries. Emergency crews responded quickly. Highway 49 was closed for about an hour after the crash.<\/p>\n

Investigation Continues<\/h2>\n

The North Dakota Highway Patrol<\/a> said the crash remains under investigation. More details may be released later.<\/p>\n
