Beltrami County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Bemidji woman is facing felony and gross misdemeanor charges after a drug search at a home in Beltrami County, according to a newly filed criminal complaint.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors charged Savannah Krystine Grangruth<\/strong>, 38, with fifth-degree drug possession<\/a> and contributing to the need for child protection or services<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What the complaint says<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, agents with the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force<\/a> executed a search warrant on March 6, 2026, at a residence on Archery Road Northwest.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Grangruth, another adult identified as T.J., and two juveniles were inside the home when officers arrived.<\/p>\n

Investigators reported finding drug paraphernalia in several rooms. They also found a scale with a white substance, a vial with about 7.5 grams of a substance, and other items tied to drug use.<\/p>\n

The complaint says those items field-tested positive for methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

Authorities said T.J. told investigators the paraphernalia belonged to Grangruth. The complaint says Grangruth later said the items belonged to both adults.<\/p>\n

After Grangruth was booked into the Beltrami County Jail, the complaint says staff found a small bag in her pocket. That bag held about 0.6 grams of a substance.<\/p>\n

That material is still awaiting confirmatory testing, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Children placed on protective hold<\/h2>\n

The complaint says the condition of the residence led authorities to place the two children on 72-hour protective holds.<\/p>\n

That allegation led to the gross misdemeanor child protection charge.<\/p>\n

Court records show the drug charge is a felony. The child protection count is a gross misdemeanor.<\/p>\n

Prior record and case status<\/h2>\n

The complaint also lists prior convictions for Grangruth. Those include a 2023 fourth-degree DWI and 2021 misdemeanor convictions for obstructing legal process and disorderly conduct.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists March 9, 2026, as the offense date for both counts.<\/p>\n

As with all criminal cases, the charges are only allegations. Grangruth is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
