Beltrami County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) A Bemidji woman now faces two charges after a February traffic stop in Beltrami County.<\/p>\n

According to a criminal complaint, Kristan Jean Raymond<\/strong>, 46, was charged in Minnesota District Court.<\/p>\n

She faces a felony count of fifth-degree drug possession. She also faces a gross misdemeanor count of DWI test refusal.<\/p>\n

The case was filed in the Minnesota Judicial Branch<\/a>. The complaint says the stop happened on February 2, 2026.<\/p>\n

What the complaint says<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, a Bemidji police officer saw Raymond leave an area tied to drug activity.<\/p>\n

The complaint says her vehicle then showed unusual travel patterns. Police then stopped the vehicle for a turn-signal violation.<\/p>\n

The stop happened near Roosevelt Road Southeast and Lambert Avenue Southeast in Bemidji.<\/p>\n

Investigators said Raymond showed signs of possible impairment during the stop. The complaint points to glassy eyes, constricted pupils, and other signs.<\/p>\n

Police said Raymond then completed field sobriety tests. The complaint says the results suggested impairment by a controlled substance.<\/p>\n

Search led to drug allegation<\/h2>\n

Raymond was arrested and taken to the Beltrami County Jail, according to court records.<\/p>\n

During a search of the vehicle, police reported finding a loose oxycodone pill.<\/p>\n

The complaint also says officers found a backpack with Raymond\u2019s financial card inside.<\/p>\n

Inside that backpack, police reported finding about 0.71 grams of suspected fentanyl.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, Raymond denied knowing about the substances.<\/p>\n

Refusal charge followed warrant<\/h2>\n

The complaint says investigators later obtained a warrant for a blood or urine sample.<\/p>\n

Police allege Raymond refused both tests several times, even after the warrant was presented.<\/p>\n

That alleged refusal led to the DWI test refusal charge.<\/p>\n

The suspected drug evidence is expected to be reviewed by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension<\/a>.<\/p>\n
