Traffic stop on Highway 11<\/h2>\n

A court complaint names David Garcia Rodriquez<\/strong>, 51, of Greenbush.<\/p>\n

The complaint says a deputy stopped him at about 8:07 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2025.<\/p>\n

The stop was on Highway 11 near Highway 89 North in Roseau County.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the pickup towed another truck on a dolly.<\/p>\n

The deputy reported no rear lights at night.<\/p>\n

What the complaint alleges<\/h2>\n

Prosecutors charged Rodriquez with two counts.<\/p>\n

Count one is a gross misdemeanor tied to ignition interlock rules.<\/p>\n

It cites Minnesota Statute 171.09<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Count two is a misdemeanor for driving after cancellation.<\/p>\n

It cites Minnesota Statute 171.24<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Rodriquez had a canceled license status during the stop.<\/p>\n

The complaint says he was required to use an ignition interlock device.<\/p>\n

It says the vehicle he drove was not equipped with the device.<\/p>\n

Rodriquez told the deputy the towed truck had an interlock device.<\/p>\n

He said he was taking it to a shop for work.<\/p>\n

He also said he did not know his license was canceled.<\/p>\n

A passenger was identified as Corey Lee Dembiczak, 43.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Dembiczak told the deputy he did not have a license.<\/p>\n

Penalties and next steps<\/h2>\n

The gross misdemeanor count lists up to 364 days in jail.<\/p>\n

It also lists a possible $3,000 fine.<\/p>\n

The complaint is not a conviction.<\/p>\n
