Pennington County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Goodridge man is charged after a reported incident in a vehicle. The complaint says the case involved unwanted sexual contact.<\/p>\n

Charge filed<\/h2>\n

Blake Tearle Amorim Athay, 27, of Goodridge, is charged in Pennington County District Court. Court records list one count of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the Fifth Degree. The charge is a gross misdemeanor.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists the alleged offense date as Dec. 25, 2025. The case is filed in Minnesota\u2019s Ninth Judicial District. Court file number: 57-CR-26-90. Prosecutor file number: 57-1542.<\/p>\n

What investigators say happened<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, an adult woman with initials B.F. called police. She reported her daughter, listed as \u201cX,\u201d was touched inappropriately.<\/p>\n

The complaint says \u201cX\u201d drove Athay home after a Christmas party. It says Athay had been drinking. \u201cX\u201d was reported to be sober.<\/p>\n

The complaint says another person was also in the vehicle. That person reportedly witnessed the incident.<\/p>\n

While driving, Athay allegedly tried to grab \u201cX\u2019s\u201d hand. The complaint says \u201cX\u201d told him to stop. It says he continued to reach toward her body.<\/p>\n

The complaint alleges Athay touched intimate parts without consent. It also says the other passenger told him to stop. The complaint says the passenger pulled Athay\u2019s arm away.<\/p>\n

After they arrived at Athay\u2019s residence, the complaint says he got out. It says \u201cX\u201d locked the doors and left. The complaint says she returned to the party and told her mother.<\/p>\n

Possible penalties and next steps<\/h2>\n

The complaint lists a maximum sentence of 364 days in jail and a $3,000 fine. A judge can also order other conditions if there is a conviction.<\/p>\n

Charges are allegations. Athay is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
