Pennington County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Karlstad man is charged with a felony gun offense in Pennington County District Court.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors charged Evan James Tyler Timm<\/strong>, born March 1, 1990, court records show.<\/p>\n

The complaint lists Prosecutor File No. 25-600-109 and Court File No. 57-CR-25-830.<\/p>\n

The allegation<\/h2>\n

Timm is charged as ineligible to possess firearms under Minnesota Statute 624.713<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege he possessed a firearm or ammunition in Pennington County on October 20, 2025.<\/p>\n

The officer later called Timm to ask about the missing items.<\/p>\n

Timm admitted he returned to the area and recovered the jugs, the complaint says.<\/p>\n

During the call, Timm commented on the rifle box.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the officer had not mentioned the box yet.<\/p>\n

Timm also admitted he is a felon, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

He said he cannot possess a firearm.<\/p>\n

Store purchase traced<\/h2>\n

Investigators used information from the rifle box to trace the sale.<\/p>\n

The complaint says an ATF agent helped confirm purchase details.<\/p>\n

Records show Allison Elaine Corbet bought the rifle on October 20, 2025.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the purchase happened at L&M Fleet Supply<\/a> in Thief River Falls.<\/p>\n

Investigators say Corbet is Timm\u2019s girlfriend.<\/p>\n

Surveillance video described<\/h2>\n

An investigator reviewed store video with management on November 6, 2025, the complaint says.<\/p>\n

The complaint says the man in the video was identified as Timm.<\/p>\n

Video shows him handling, inspecting, and aiming the rifle inside the store.<\/p>\n

The complaint says he tried to return the rifle and swap it for another one.<\/p>\n

Store rules required the buyer to complete new paperwork, the complaint says.<\/p>\n

The complaint says Corbet came in and completed the exchange paperwork.<\/p>\n

Investigators say Timm handled the rifle again and carried it out of the store.<\/p>\n
