rel=\"noopener\">trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 A Swanville man faces felony charges after a traffic stop.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joshua Thomas Larum<\/strong>, 40, is charged with felony stalking and felony domestic assault by strangulation.<\/p>\n<p>He also faces a felony threat of violence charge, plus DWI and misdemeanor domestic assault counts.<\/p>\n<p>A criminal complaint says deputies stopped the vehicle on February 14, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>A third party reported an assault in Brockway Township.<\/p>\n<p>Dispatch notes said a woman was yelling for help.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses later reported hearing \u201chelp me\u201d and seeing a vehicle leave.<\/p>\n<p>During the stop, deputies said a woman passenger had clear injuries.<\/p>\n<p>They reported two black eyes and bruises on her torso.<\/p>\n<p>They also noted neck scratches and missing clumps of hair.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint said the woman appeared terrified.<\/p>\n<h2>What the complaint alleges<\/h2>\n<p>The woman told investigators the assaults began in December 2025.<\/p>\n<p>She described an incident from February 13, 2026, the complaint said.<\/p>\n<p>She said Larum pinned her down and blocked her breathing with pillows.<\/p>\n<p>She said she saw sparkles and felt confused.<\/p>\n<p>She also said he hit her in the face.<\/p>\n<p>On February 14, she said Larum kept drinking and turned violent again.<\/p>\n<p>She said he pulled her hair while driving.<\/p>\n<p>She said he hit her in the face several times.<\/p>\n<h2>Alcohol test and booking<\/h2>\n<p>Deputies reported a strong odor of alcohol in the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint said Larum admitted drinking earlier.<\/p>\n<p>He refused field sobriety tests, the complaint said.<\/p>\n<p>He later took a breath test at the Stearns County Jail.<\/p>\n<p>The test showed a 0.16 blood alcohol level, the filing said.<\/p>\n<p>Jail staff noted he was uncooperative during booking.<\/p>\n<h2>Charges and bail<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Felony stalking.<\/li>\n<li>Felony domestic assault by strangulation.<\/li>\n<li>Felony threats of violence.<\/li>\n<li>Two gross misdemeanor DWI counts.<\/li>\n<li>Four misdemeanor domestic assault counts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Court records show the case was filed on February 18, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Bail was set at $200,000 with conditions or $500,000 without conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Matthew Quinn set bail, according to court records.<\/p>\n<p>The filing notes a 2021 misdemeanor DWI conviction in Todd County.<\/p>\n<p>Larum is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.<\/p>\n<h2>More information and
