Bemidji, Beltrami County<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me)<\/a> \u2014 A Cass Lake woman faces drug charges after a stop in Bemidji.<\/p>\n

Blair Marie Brown, 42, is charged with fifth-degree drug possession. She is also charged with giving a peace officer a false name.<\/p>\n

Traffic stop details<\/h2>\n

Court records say the stop happened at about 2:02 a.m. on February 11, 2026.<\/p>\n

A Bemidji police officer saw a tan 2003 Buick Century at the Circle K on Paul Bunyan Drive South.<\/p>\n

The officer reported the license plate was revoked. The vehicle also drifted within its lane.<\/p>\n

The officer stopped the car a short time later. The driver was identified as Jeffrey Scott Dorr-Slowey.<\/p>\n

Police reported signs of impairment. Dorr-Slowey was arrested on suspicion of DWI.<\/p>\n

During a search, officers said they found about 40 grams of suspected methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

Police also reported drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. The drugs are listed as suspected at this stage.<\/p>\n

Alleged drugs and false name claim<\/h2>\n

Brown was in the front passenger seat, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Police said they found a bag of suspected methamphetamine under her leg.<\/p>\n

The substance was later weighed at about 1.08 grams, court records say.<\/p>\n

Investigators also say Brown gave a different name to officers. She also gave a different birth date.<\/p>\n

Authorities later confirmed her identity during booking at the Beltrami County Jail.<\/p>\n

Charges and court process<\/h2>\n

Brown is charged under Minnesota\u2019s fifth-degree controlled substance law. You can read it at Minn. Stat. \u00a7 152.025<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The false-name charge is a gross misdemeanor. The related law is at Minn. Stat. \u00a7 609.506<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The felony drug count carries up to five years in prison. Sentencing depends on criminal history.<\/p>\n

The case was filed in Beltrami County District Court on February 12, 2026.<\/p>\n

Bail was set at $25,000 with conditions, or $50,000 without conditions, records show.<\/p>\n

The court also listed an alternative option of $10,000 without conditions.<\/p>\n

A future hearing is scheduled as the case moves forward.<\/p>\n
